Audioslave's first album was awesome, after that, they fell off hard.

    LOL yeah, remember The Firm?
The Jimmy Page / Bad Company supergroup in the 80's. On paper it was gonna the greatest band ever. The music was just ble..
Same deal with Audioslave. And what a terrible name - especially coming from superPC Rage dudes. They were going to go by "Civilian" which would have been so much less stupid..

    No Old 97's?
I liked most own that stuff but the 70's was still the peak, prime decade of Rock- and the Son Volts and Whiskeytowns were just emulating 70's to boot..
The 90's had plenty of their own Captains and Tennilles.. Every decade did.

Is his latest solo album any good? Velvet Revolver was alright.

Dude, I stopped naming bands. Old 97's were legit. Two things:

    1) Son Volt and Whiskeytown did not emulate the 70's. Each band did completely different things. Back up your claim.
    2) Yes, I know every decade has it's crap. Maybe, I'm just pissed that Zeppelin went disco during the 70's.

LOL I'll get Ryan Adams to send you an email. By 1990 everything that could be done in Country - was already done. Partially why they sell homogonized non-Country as Country now..
Led Zeppelin disco? Naw that didn't happen.
Are you talking about The Stones or Kiss?

Ya never heard of LZ disco.

It happened to some of the best. Have to stay "relevant."

Heart was awesome in the 70s. I think "Alone" was a great tune, but you can just tell, visually, that they had sold out and become typical 80s Rock.

    Chicago also comes to mind.

    And the doob brothers.

I'd love an email from Ryan. If I keep making uninformed statements, would you set up a meet and greet?

And, yeah Zep never fully went disco like other bands. I'm thinking of ITTOD. A few tunes on that album sound like they had a disco influence.

I'll friend him on Facebook and ask.
I'm not hearing disco on In Through. There is a Country number and definitely the poorest singing on any Zep record though.

I do have some disco on hand

Disco is a pretty specific thing. Selling out in the 70's was synergistic but not exclusive to disco. I've seen some doc on Ann Wilson and she specifically states they regret buying into 3rd party penned songs in the 80's. Still not as bad as "Starship" lol..
