Not really. After he brought in Fitzpatrick to backup an already erratic and injury prone Locker, I would have agreed with that, but Webster, apart from the big mistake of taking Sankey rather than Carlos Hyde, last year, has done a pretty good job with FA and the draft.

Mariota and then getting DGB right afterward was like getting your franchise QB and trading up to the the middle of the 1st Rd, to get your marquee WR, for free. Poutasi will probably develop into a solid OG if not RT. Blackson was a good pickup, and the rest are still up in the air...as most later rd picks are.

He made a good pick in getting DaQuan Jones last year, who looks pretty solid thus far. Getting Orakpo, and bringing back Morgan was big. Cox and Searcy were good pickups. So, I am afraid we're going to end up getting what we wished for and not liking it, this time next year. Great GM's don't grow on trees and I think we could easily do a lot worse than keeping Webster at least one more year and seeing if he has another good year.

Reggie McKenzie, at Oakland was just as heavily criticized for the past few years and there was a lot of speculation (before the start of the season) that he might soon be gone, at Oakland. But, the organization kept him on board, and now they are starting to make major strides.

There are some on here mentioning his name as a viable candidate and he was one we were interested in talking to, the last time around.

I would like to get Bill Polian as Pres/CEO. He would give any GM help in making picks that can and would help this team to advance.

I was pissed, we could have had a franchise LG for a 7th. Hell, we could have had him for nothing as a UFDA. Stupid not to take a chance on him with how terrible this OL is.

What I don't understand is why Webster gets a pass on all that he has helped to create. Even I can pick a few good players when you have multiple picks. Why don't we judge him on the results of the teams he has helped to construct ?
Hmmm. . . . 3 and 10. . I say he sucked this year. Last year. . . sucked too. Has he hit gold for us in the draft? I'd say our scouting is pretty pathetic and that is on him. Look at the top tier teams and they loose players to injury and continue to have success with the players they have. Magic ? No, just good planning and management. Rustin Webster is average. . . . We can do better.

I don't want chip kelly. He wants Mariota to run . I want Mariota to pass and run only if has too. Which lately has been a lot. We fix our line Mariota doesn't have to run if we also get WR that separates .
