Exactly...COLLEGE FOOTBALL. A whole new level at the NFL level. ..Sam Bradford is and was doo doo....He did well for 2 seasons because the scheme was new and he had play makers before HE cut them....When you are throwing spread style passes constantly, you become predictable...I watched him all year, trust me, he can't adjust...He sucks.

30 pages and I am still undecided. Since nothing has worked in a while it hard to say what would turn this franchise around. Any coach will fail with the current gm. Chip seems to alienate players so voting nope in lieu of no undecided option.

Under Chip Kelly, the Eagles were 2nd in average yards per play in 2013, then 11th in 2014, and so far this year are 26th with 5.2 yards/play, same as the Titans. I'm sure the reason(s) for the decline are debatable between defenses figuring out the scheme or lack of talent to run his scheme. IMO, isn't Chip Kelly primarily responsible either way?

I see some possible similarities between Chip Kelly and Bill Belichick:
    1. Both have been accused of Napoleon Syndrome and being unlikeable.
    2. Both will not tolerate players putting their egos ahead of the team.
    3. Both demand extreme organization and discipline.

The locker room culture of a lot of teams will not tolerate coaches like this. Philadelphia may have been that type of culture for Kelly. Cleveland may have been that way for Belichick.

The key for coaches like these is to find a locker room and organization that is willing to follow his leadership from top to bottom.

Belichick found that in New England. I think Tennessee could be that kind of place for Kelly. We are a small market, not a lot of big egos or loudmouths, and a supportive ownership that will stay out of the way.

Having said all that I wouldn't give him GM duties until he's earned it through years of success. However I would pick a GM who understands his system and exactly what it needs.

Meanwhile, here's what his predecessor was doing on Sunday:

You have a lot of issues with Kelly to sort through such him always thinking he's the smartest man in the room. This works if you're Belicheck and have the rings. Not so much if you demand more control over personnel and then botch most of the key decisions made with that added responsibility.

Then there's the issue of whether or not he's unable/unwilling to adjust to defenses who now know how to defend against his offensive scheme. The Eagles offense dropped to #15 this season. I think it's fair to believe, based on what I've read, that he's been figured out and either won't change or can't. That means his offense is a gimmick and will see limited success regardless of his QB.

Take a moment and read these two articles. The opinion is that the Kelly offense is extremely basic and, once defenses figured it out, pretty easy to limit:

Kelly's offense runs the same plays - Business Insider
MythBusters: Has the NFL figured out Chip Kelly's playbook? - NFL - SI.com

Obviously, better players make any scheme more effective. Maybe Mariota helps but, as the SI article states, a lot of the problems this season was poor blocking and RB play. Sound's familiar?

I personally think Kelly is an ego-manic who lost his locker room because he was/is unwilling to change. You can bet he was run out of Philly for more than having one losing season. I sure hope Strunk would find someone in Philly who knows the entire story before considering Kelly.
