    At Oregon:
    • Younger players who do not know any better
    • Much shorter season
    • Much much shorter offseason
    • NCAA restricted practice times

'NCAA restricted' is very loosely put.

Compliance works at the school for the school.

All NCAA infractions are SELF reported. Do the math.

The NCAA is not a governing body, it's a mass arms race centered around who can cheat the most without getting caught (meaning doing something stupid enough that they have to report themselves).

The difference between Oregon and Philly is at Oregon you have broke 18-22 year olds with no where else to go if Football doesn't workout, in Philly you have 30 year olds with money in their pockets. You tell me which is going to take you seriously and that'll tell you which group is winning games.

That was a good article, insightful.

I was just about to post another. Not sure you will be a fan, however if you can look past the harsh tone some good points are made.

Buzz Bissinger calls Chip Kelly a 'fraud,' cites 'arrogance'

    A small sample

The above quote and this next article give some insight into why people like Alex and TitanupB4UGO are probably such big fans of Chip. That he was elevated to a level he probably did not deserve by the news media.

Buzz Bissinger: Blame the media for propping up Chip Kelly

I have to wonder if some of that coverage went to his head. Probably not, but possible.

    I don't agree with it :)

Mike Bellotti struggled was up one year, down another. He never put together a stretch Kelly did in his four years. The talent was the same, the coaching was vastly superior.

Kelly has the same 'it' factor Saban, Meyer,Harbaugh have. And if Texas was to take Charlie Strong, dump him and sign Chip Kelly to 5/15 mil cont. I would expect nothing but immediate success.

Still think you need to be able to control or have a somewhat decent TOP in the NFL to be successful.

Once again, an NFL defense (especially our defense) can't be on the field 35-40 minutes a game for 16 games and being ran into the ground during practice as well.

Yeah I think Coughlin is a good comparison too.

This here is why I don't think Lebeau will stick around if he was hired. He will have to know his defense no matter how good of a teacher he is will very little chance in being ranked in top 10.
