If there is a drawn out court case that forces us to keep Ruston & Mike, I have no words for the level of dysfunction this organization has reached.

It is all well and good that the players want Mularkey because as far as I am concerned all these so-called players can leave right along with him. The only players that don't suck are close to retirement age. The other couple that aren't retirement age can be replaced.

Of course, none of it matters if the NFL is getting involved.

This "ownership in flux" BS seems perfectly times to **** this team over.
If there are "laws" or NFL rules about the ownership state of this team not being able to go about their business I will personally eat a football.
They've already hired and fired HC's (and a good amount of staff) since Bud's death.
I call NFL or media sabotage..

Tennessee Titans could sue the NFL over ownership - Music City Miracles

An article by Will Lomas of MCM that explains it is the Titans suing the NFL not the NFL suing the Titans. Apparently the Titans are being told how to structure the ownership of the team; and they are fighting it. They want to restructure ownership to make AAS the clear and definitive leader of Ownership.

Not sure why the NFL would buck at this idea now after allowing her to control the team all year.

This may make for a much better situation than what CBS & several other outlets actually reported today. Lomas seems to think it will not have an affect on any hiring process.

So IF we do keep Mularkey it will be a decision based on what the Owners want; not a lack of real options. IMO that would be a slap in the face of Titans' fans,

*Edit* This is how I read and understood it anyway.

Several teams are already starting interviews so we need to get a move on if we are going to land a good GM & HC.... Haven't heard any real good names thrown out as being interviewed yet.

I PRAY the Titans do not settle for Mularkey without thoroughly evaluating the other options that are available.

I really hope they already have a GM candidate that they want and are ready to act on. Otherwise we will be waiting for a GM Hire to take place before we get a HC......or even worse be stuck with Webster.

The only way Mularky can succeed, and this is a big "if", is if he surrounds himself with a lights out staff. He needs to be the "figure head" and let the assistants do their jobs. Fortunately we already have a solid defensive staff. Of course all this is dependent of getting a GM and a president who can bring in the right pieces.

Totally agree with this. Last time we got in some big hurry to land Whisenhunt. I am good with taking some time here. There are several good candidates out there, and I want us to work on getting the FO in order first.
