For any cord-cutters looking to watch/stream all NFL games LIVE here's my suggestion.

    1) Get a VPN that routes traffic thru somewhere outside the US, Canada, & the UK (traffic from outside the above countries dont have any blackout restrictions on live games).
    2) Subscribe to NFL Game Pass for $200 a season (it lets you watch games until maybe June 2016) and enjoy watching 4 games at once every Sunday.

If anyone needs a good VPN recommendation message me for the details.

Also, TitanJeff make sure you double check that Comcast bill for modem rental fees! Comcast charged me a modem rental fee ($9 a month) the first 2 months before I noticed and called to complain (since I own my modem). In short, they refunded the charges but then tried the same trick literally 1 month later, leading to another call about erroneous charges.

Ok we finaly dropped cable TV today. So far we are using and HD antenna except for channel 4 and 8 which we can't get. I will worry about that later on.

Oh BTW I am officially retired as of 1-4-2016 :)

I'm planning and preparing for this. Looking into an attic antenna for the networks/local stuff. Our Tivo will be helpful recording our shows on those channels- won't be restricted to internet access.

We already have Amazon Prime and share Netflix with her parents. As for our other cable shows... I'm thinking Hulu and Sling TV - Hulu doesn't have AMC or TNT, I don't believe.

Our Tivo already has Prime, Netflix and Hulu apps on it. For Sling TV, thinking of investing in a Chromecast-type piece of equipment to stream it on my phone, but watch it on TV.

Now I need to investigate "good enough" Internet for basic streaming and also a landline. My wife just can't give up that landline - could be worse, I suppose.

Personally, I'd like to convince her to look into something like Vonage for the phone.

Essentially, the "startup" cost is the highest part... but it would pay for itself quickly since our bill is so damn high.

Your ISP will make you bundle to save $5 on it anyway. I don't even have a home phone, but I have a landline because the internet+phone is a little cheaper than just internet. Makes zero sense...

My options are TimeWarnerCable or Cincinnati Bell.

Cincinnati Bell has better Internet - fiber - but, ironically, their phone doesn't appear to be as good a value.

I would love to totally break away from TimeWarnerCable, but might not be able to.
