2007 Why didn't we realize this was the real Michael Griffin

I have a 2 word response to this....

We've been sitting on a lot of cap space....cap money that could have gotten us the help we need. Hope we don't make the same mistake this time around. Berry is a legend here in this state. He would cherish the opportunity to play just a few hours away from where this brothers are currently playing, now. That's for UT.

Big leadership and skill improvement. No, we don't want to have to pay a ridiculous amount for him, but if he's worth 8-10mill/yr, lets put that money to use, rather than sitting on it.

 

I did....I have hated him from day one. Useless piece of wrong angle taking ****.

 

Yeah didnt like the pick, didnt like him from the moment he was drafted, and in 08 when he was getting pro bowl votes I knew he was tricking ppl. Haynesworth is the reason he had a good season. I want the guy off this team so bad.

 

Basically a 0% chance Berry hits free agency.

 

If he hits FA than absolutely. I highly doubt the Chiefs let that happen though.

 

Who knows. Sometimes teams just don't have the cap space and think they can turn to the draft to get the production at a cheaper cost. Can't blame them if they go that route. Simple economics.

But if he does hit FA, I know he'll prefer the Titans, so he can "Come Home" so to speak. With his 2 brothers playing in Knoxville, being a Titan would be the perfect situation for him. I just hope the brass realize this.

We need the immediate VETERAN help. For once, we need to get a little older rather than younger...in terms of filling our holes with veterans who don't have to face a rookie learning curve and provide leadership...while changing the losing culture, here.

The Chiefs have 3 key players on defense that are set to be FAs...Berry, Derrick Johnson, and Sean Smith. I would make sure to keep Berry if I were them, but you never know....maybe he hits the FA market.

 

Eric Berry has a titans tatoo... I'd sign the hell out of him just because whiffin is terrible and useless.

If he hits FA, we should snag him.
