I would take Lewis in a heartbeat. He has accomplished one of the greatest coaching feats ever. He made the Bengals respectable. Before Lewis players avoided the Bengals like the plague. The few good players they had did everything they could to get out, like Take Spikes and Corey Dillon.

0-7 in the playoffs is a pretty damning stat.

Would be hard to justify hiring him, regardless of the regular season success.

If you want to fire Lewis for 0-7 in the playoffs, go ahead. You're likely to jump out of the pan and into the fire.

Firing Lewis for not controlling his players is stupid. Anybody want to fire Tomlin for not being able to control his coaches?

Uhhh What? AM I missing something?

That was a heated game. If you think Tomlin should have any accountability for Munchak's actions, well, think again. Munch is a HOF OL from Scranton, who has a notorious reputation for being level headed. Heat of the moment.

In regards to Porter, he was talking **** and he's an ex player... If I am Tomlin Im buying Porter a steak dinner after the game.

Yes, I'd fire Lewis for not controlling his players. Penalties lost them that game, penalties are ALWAYS attributed to coaching.

While our offense is way behind the defense the defense is far from good

I would be interested in looking at him if he becomes available. Being able to maintain Cincinnati at that level for a extended period of time (given their upper management issues) is an accomplishment in itself.

I am not pining for him or anything, but he would be worth a look IMO.

No to Lewis. If he is fired, I think you are looking at a Jeff Fisher situation in which he will want a year to rest. That dude has been going hard for a long time.

He's done some great things but not being able to get over the hump, consistently hurts a lot.

I wouldn't mind him on the staff, but not as a HC. I have high expectations and he is much better than Murlarkey but at this time I take a chance with McDaniels before I go Lewis

Again, I think its a mute point as he would take a year off anyway.

    Unsurprisingly, Lewis isn't going anywhere.
