I like McDaniels, Jackson, and also Bevell. I am sure that any of these guys would field a much more effective offense than Mularkey.

I have liked Jackson's play calling this year. I watch more Bengals' games than most Titans' fans because my wife is a Bengals fan. I can't convert her I have tried....LOL. But she is a real fan. She stuck it out through the rough Bungals days of horrible play. Not one of these band wagon fans that started with the Bengals after they started winning. Gotta give her credit for the suffering & of course as a Titans' fan I understand that...LOL.

Anyway. For the most part Hue has created some really great game plans for cincy this year. He has thrown out some packages that really made you think about what they were doing. They have to be very committed to the game to be able to keep up with all of the packages they have installed. This year he was really making Dalton look amazing. It was really tough watching Dalton go down. (Killed the wife)..... To be honest, he made McCarrons look pretty dang good in the games he started. He does have a LOT of talent to work with though & he will NOT have that in TN.

McDaniels screwed up in Denver. No other way to put it. I think he got in over his head and let it get the best of him. Since he has gotten back to NE and his type of QB he has really shined. He has molded the offense around what he had to work with. That offense was decimated by injuries. At one point they actually rotated oline men like most teams do on the Dline.... Hopefully he learned from Denver and is ready for another shot. Marcus seems to be the type of QB that would fit great in the system he would run.

Bevell made a bad call in the SB and got KILLED by the media for it.....Hell it was a risky call and he had Lynch??? If it had worked he would of been celebrated; but the worst possible outcome happened. He has built a powerful offense around what Russell Wilson does best. He also seemed to dial it back until he felt Wilson could handle it. It seems like that time has came. Wilson is playing some serious ball right now.

Sorry......I tend to ramble when I talk about football.........I just love it. I could talk football all night. LOL.

So I guess the new HC will be fairly easy to guess based on who the GM is.

Polian- would likely hire Marrone due to his strong relationship with the Polian family.
Robinson- would likely hire Mcdaniels due to his connections with NE
Ballard- would likely hire Toub due to his KC connections

Gotta say Robinson entices me most with the likely paring of McDaniels. Would hate Marrone (would actually rather hire Mularkey, and that says a lot). And am I the only person who thinks Toub as a HC is absurd? I mean the man's a freaking special teams coordinator lol. Not a OC, not a DC, but a freaking SPECIAL TEAMS coordinator. Maybe im just being too closed minded, idk.

But HC will be hired by AAS. But I am sure GM if in place, will have a say.

John Harbaugh was a special teams coordinator before he was promoted to HC

I welcome it. Our SP have been horrible for a while. And realistically, we are hiring a coach. We see time and time again how good/great OC/DC become head coaches solely on that ability but they fail as a coach. Whiz had success as OC, but is consistently a mess as coach. From the little ive read, Toub actually sounds like a guy that could bring a different mentality. I am actually relived we didn't get Gase (after he was my 2nd choice after Hue) once I heard he would be calling the plays. That just doesn't always sit well and I'd prefer the coach to coach and the coordinators to do what they do best.

We need someone to hold OC and DC accountable . Need to hold players accountable. To me the big difference that we need is a GM that can bring talent to this team. And coaches to teach and train players. We have less talent and the talent we have is regressing because of poor coaching. That makes for a 2-14 team that in the last half of the season was not even competitive . We got blown out by the Texans who got blown out yesterday. Enough said. Something needs to change and change now.

That thought crossed my mind when I read a Burflict article this morning.
Would Marvin be a good fit in Nashville?

Marvin was talking about retiring, so I don't know what his interest level in staying in coaching would be. Maybe he doesn't want to go out on a sour note, but we probably know tomorrow.

Why aren't we racing to hire Hue Jackson or at least interview him? I really don't get it.

We stated we are looking for an offensive minded coach to guide MM and yet we are standing by as he's getting interviewed by the 49ers and Browns. He's one of the top O coordinators in the game and he even figured out a gameplan in the second half that made AJ McCarron look like an NFL QB.
