The rumor is probably still true. Wasn't that news that he would interview with us on Tuesday out on Wed?

The threat of Mularky being the leading candidate makes me want McDaniels real quick.

How often do you see coaches with WINNING RECORDS get fired? He was 26-21 at Philadelphia. There was some bad juju between him and the GM guy that got sidelined last season. Again, to get a good coach from a team you have to hope they stumble just enough for that team to let them go. Andy Reid has a solid record as a HC there, but one down season and they give him the boot. Doesn't make him a bad coach and it doesn't mean he "wrecked" the Eagles.

Jelly was fired for more reasons than just his record. He splintered the FO, fractured player morale and created division in the entire team. He was too demanding, egotistical and unapproachable. The players complaining about him FINALLY did him in.

Even though the Chip Kelly apologists have made the Belichick comparison in response to the Kelly firing McDaniels looks to closer fit the Belichick path.

Belichick was mentored by a coaching great, Bill Parcels, for many years. then he took on a head coach job which did not work out. So he went back to work for his mentor and learned from his mistakes so that his next job would be a success.

Chip, on the other hand, never had an NFL mentor. His mentors were the head coaches at New Hampshire and Colombia. And now that his first NFL coaching job will be seek out a mentor, learn from his mistakes and learn how to be an NFL coach? Or will he take another head coaching job right away?

Chip doesn't want a mentor. Chip wants to do everything except clean the toilets.

He can **** in one hand and want in the other, see which one fills up faster. No team is going to give him that control off the bat.

At this point it would be amazing to me if McDaniels is not the next head coach of the Titans
