As much as these skill positions are a need... We have to draft CB at the top often second. Regardless of whatever do at #1. I'd be willing to part with the pick for more picks.

Bosa is good, but there's enough talent in the top 4-5 that I still think we come out smelling like roses. Sell that pick fellas

Who says we will be running a 3-4 defense next year?

Considering the talent on the defense is apt for the 34 and all the recent draft picks would be hella wasted - it's a good idea toco tongue with the 34 and fill the needs we have instead of making new ones by switching back

Why do you consider all the talent on the D apt for the 3-4? Morgan and Casey have both played in a 4-3 and some would argue that they were more affective in the 4-3. Rak played in the 4-3 as a SAM linebacker his rookie year and registered 11.5 sacks.

I'm not advocating that we switch for no reason but I think it's a bad idea to pigeon hole the team by only looking at 3-4 coaches.

Just our recent drafts really. The front seven, Morgan has actually been MUCH more effective as an OLB, Casey was better at DT yes. But our defense has looked a lot better as a 34, obviously we still need certain pieces and I wouldn't be against a hybrid defense, but switching now is stupid. Bosa could play OLB, maybe DE in a 34.

Orakpo at Sam I'm not seeing any more. He doesn't have the necessary speed as a youth to play that position now and cover like needed.

It would be a bad idea to limit our search to only 3-4 geared coaches, but I personally prefer the 3-4 and think it'd be an unnecessary setback to go back to a 4-3.

3-4 is a little craftier IMO, takes time to learn, and we JUST now got to that point. Lets reap those benefits and continue with the 3-4 if we can..

Just my personal preference is all.

Joey Bosa was recruited to Ohio State as a DT.......

He played E because of the flood of High Profile Buckeyes on the DL already (adolphus, noah spence at the time, etc.)

Any argument that he can't play a 3-4, and/or we'd have to go back a 4-3 is invalid. He has been all over the field.

We have to get an effective NT to do things with the 3-4.
