If they hire Mularkey, then F*** Amy Adams and the front office. That would be the cheapest and laziest thing they could do. Underwood said he could retain the job if they win, and he would have barely done that. If his 2 wins satisfy the upper management, they they do not care.

    That will be my reaction.

I want be clear. I started this thread mainly as a request to the FO. However, I am extremely happy with the moves that have taken place so far. AAS is making me believe again. I just feel we are so close to changing the face of the franchise and that a fresh and new HC would complete the transformation. If Mularkey is her answer then I will reserve my judgement until the end of the season.

Glad you are intelligent enough to realize that Steve Underwood and Amy Adams Seastrunk read the boards as a way to gauge the fanbase...

Let's not pretend it's all baseless assumptions.

We have heard absolutely nothing but "Mularkey is the guy" for weeks now from the media insiders.

RW as a fail was obvious 2 years ago. Held on to him too long. That's on EVERY owner.

Retaining MM JUST as obvious a fail.

Alex pointed out most likely real plan is to lock down McDaniels. If that fails then groundwork laid out to keep Mularkey. MM is a last resort. MM is NOT owners first choice.

Underwood said in the beginning that unless it comes from them, dont believe any "sources." They havent helped the matter, everything right now is speculation.

Im hoping that they are waiting for one of the coaches in the playoffs.

Imo, you have to be a special kind of stupid to actually hire MM right now. No other team needs a head coach now. There are several options out there.

If they dont announce that MM got the job tomorrow, I think we can all breathe a little more. If they do announce it tomorrow and its him, then we made no real effort to upgrade the hc position. Or at the very least, werent thorough. Then everyone can burn Amys house down and ill be right there hi fiving everyone.

    Fair enough.

I'm right there with you in that the hire makes no sense. It doesn't, and I still refuse to believe it.

The Titans can't have that big a circle working on this hire, so information is probably hard to come by.

With that said, we have had a handful of guys in the media calling it for Mularkey. I can see how people are just assuming, at this point, the Titans are going to do what they do. Which is bad, awful, unspeakable things to the psyche of their fan base.

But I'm with you. AAS hasn't screwed us over yet. It shouldn't be a foregone conclusion that it's coming.
