If Mularkey is retained as HC

I'm not sure it matters....

 

If we retain Mularkey, what makes you think we would get a new OC?

Most likely we keep our staff as is, except replace the OL and WR coaches.

Mularkey would probably change up the playbook to meet his own preferences, but likely keep the staff the same.

 

I keep checking this site hoping this thread doesn't become breaking news....please oh please do not let it happen...

But if it does, I will come here for my misery will love company (and alcohol)

 

Yeah, the argument you have to be some kind of super human or NFL inside man to make and recognize smart decisions always makes me chuckle.

 

It won't matter because they are liars. Once you buy PSL's, you are on the hook till you literally can t pay for it anymore. You hear it year in and year out, people saying they will walk away, but chances are they never do.

 

I guess we better get used to Mularkey because it looks more and more like he' getting the nod. Hell, give him a year.

 

I would like a new HC. Right now I am on the McD bandwagon. However, I don't think its the end of the world if Mularkey is retained.

1) Unless the coach is just a real cutting edge guy, I don't think HC matters that much. It depends much more on the OC/DC/roster. The HC just manages everything. (Although I would like McD because I think he could be that cutting edge guy)

2) Regarding his previous record as HC, while terrible and worrisome, a lot of that came in some really bad conditions. 1 year in Jax with a QB he never wanted and a terrible roster. 9 games in TN (with Mett playing significant time in 3 of those games) with a terrible roster and an offense that wasn't his.

IF this new GM can upgrade the roster significantly, then I think we could be competitive under Mularkey.
