Yes it is. Does not do anything to enhance minority hires, it just makes "token" interviews feel cheap and sleazy. I wouldn't take an interview if I suspected I was a token candidate.

 

To be fair, this does not include players like walker dgb mariota and a couple of others. They played with heart.

 

The Rooney Rule has always been awkward at best and easily exploitable at worst, but a case can be made that it has actually served its main purpose. Some reading for anyone interested: Rooney Rule has opened doors for minority head-coaching candidates but it could do more

 

Walker, Mariota, Casey, Orakpo, Williamson, I think played hard each and every play. The rest I feel collected checks.

Well our special teams just improved, even if we hire a chimp to run that area.

 

Lewan and Warmack try, that has to count for something lol
