I wanna agree with Marcus but we deserve our time to grief. This may end up playing out ok but right now, right this minute, it blows. I will NEVER turn my fan card in. I also am not stoked about this hire.

For the record, Marcus is always going to say the right thing and not step on anyone's toes. Even if he felt different on the matter.

If anyone is going to make something out of this, it will be him.

Nice our president said he will be judged on wins and losses. Guess two wins out of nine games is enough. Such a boneheaded hire.

real answer would be "he was already here, this was the easiest and most lazy scenario so naturally we went with it"

This is true. It may just be a case of him being a respectful person and not wanting to overstep.

Promoting from within is nothing new for this family/franchise. The only difference is, Mularkey had more games than anybody else to prove himself. I think this will be a short leash for Mularkey and Robinson will not wait long to pull the plug if there is not immediate improvement next season. Bum Phillips for Sid Gillam....Ed Biles for Bum Phillips....Jerry Glanville for Hugh Campbell....Jeff Fisher for Jack Pardee.....Mularkey for Whisenhunt. Taking into consideration, Hugh Campbell was Warren Moon's ex CFL coach, and Jack Pardee was hired from the University of Houston, the franchise even had an agenda for those hires as well. I think Robinson will have the last laugh when all is said and done and will hire "his man".

exactly. And I think what makes this worse -- is knowing the sting that Whisenhunt gave us -- and him being replaced by Mularkey - only for him to win just ONE game and that was against a scrap Pass Defense...... and Mularkey's 19-39(?) record - absolutely frightens fans - knowing the two years they bled behind Whiz.....

and btw - Fellow Buckeye and Titan fan here... OH-IO!

This lady just has no idea what she's doing. It's obvious. She probably couldn't define "General Manager" for you, so she let Underwood pick the best candidate stupid enough to agree to Mularkey.

She thought Mularkey was nice. She was told he tried to protect Mariota, and that Whisenhunt didn't. Which was all she needed to hear to make this fire and hire.

It's like going car shopping with your grandma. You are crunching numbers in your head, rain maning the hell out of this, just for her to pick one because she likes the color red and it has that fancy new thing called AC.

    That's who made this hire.
