True, but they're going to be losing any money they'd have received from me. I suspect that there may be at least a few former Titans supporters who will be doing the same.

I believe they get a check from the NFL every year as well for having a franchise.

I don't see how this decision does anything to make this franchise more profitable. Quite the opposite.

Absolutely. However, the other 31 owners won't continue to share profits with an ownership group that's not pulling it's own weight.

At least not for very long.

Agreed, but to a group who is only interested in collecting revenue it doesn't matter.

They'll spend as little as possible while collecting profit. Once it dries up, sell out. Even the worst team in the league is worth a pretty penny.

Sure. The franchise is worth $2 billion, I believe.

My point is, if you want the franchise to be worth $2.5 billion, you don't do what they did yesterday. From a financial standpoint, it makes no sense.

I agree. However, neither do you miss league meetings when you are merely retaining the interim HC.

I honestly don't think that ownership cares; they simply don't want to be bothered with the requirements of running a winning franchise. It's just a turnkey business they inherited, nothing more.

Not too upset with Mularky as HC. At least not yet. I'll give him a chance with the right coordinators.
We should be in better shape anyway with a competent GM.
