Has nothing to do with the head coaching hire. If you have read or listened to reports you would understand they have another agenda against this ownership group.

I will add that their operations and their decisions they make aren't doing them any favors in their case in keeping the franchise. If they were doing good things and doing things to move the team forward on and off the field. I would assume there would be less heat from the league

Though there were only four in-person interviews, we have no idea how many of these top coaching candidates were contacted and the Titans and told they were not interested.

Think about it. Questions about ownership. New GM. Unproven QB.

I don't think it is as attractive a job as many here thought it was.

It doesn't matter what agenda you think they have this ownership group doesn't go anywhere unless they decide too. The NFL has no power to strip a franchise because they don't like the ownership structure. They cant make them sell. They aren't mismanaging the franchise in a legal sense. You may not like their decisions but it belongs to them. If you don't like it come up with 2 billion and buy it.

If this job was not attractive, it was because the team let it leak out that they were leaning towards giving Mularkey the job. They apparently told GM candidates the same thing. The fact he was even on the list little lone the leader should scare anyone off. McDaniels wanted this job and couldn't even get a interview. Chip Kelly would have been a better hire and we did not look at him, either.

I cannot help but believe, that coaches would love to coach MM, have the number one pick, and plenty of cap space, no state income tax, great place to live, and weakest division in football. Ownership and leadership and would be the only reason people wouldnt want this job

People who want a head coaching job do not just turn down an opportunity. They all think their coaching genius can overcome.

The whole "coaching search" was probably just a big dog and pony show to keep everyone in the ownership group happy. Then Underwood goes and hires the guy he wanted all along.

Some people don't even want to interview because they don't think they can be successful. Why do you think McDaniels has been patiently waiting for a chance to be a head coach? He wants to make sure he can make his second chance successful with a good supporting staff because most people wouldn't get 3 chances. Usually 2 is the most if you're that good.

Yes but last coaching search the Browns wanted to interview him and he turned down the job interview because he didn't think he could be successful, so did Adam Gase. Then they settled for Pettine and he wasn't successful. Now that he thought he could be successful with the Titans he expressed interest.

Agree on the last bit, but you have to think it would have leaked if we had approached more candidates. Have we heard of a single HC candidate who was contacted but turned it down? Yet we heard of several GM candidates who did.
