I can't imagine why the Titans would let any candidate they are interested in know of their interest in another candidate. Sure, they have to honor the Rooney rule but, even then, why say Mularkey is the favorite?

Underwood said Mularkey would be interviewed from the get go.

It's been speculated but I've not seen anything which proves a candidate turned down the job because the Titans were going to choose Mularkey.

I would suspect that GM candidates were asked about a list of possible coaches and some may have stated their objections. I hope someone asks Underwood that very question tomorrow.

John Clayton presented that rumor. I never heard anything else about it. I can't imagine why any OC on a team in the playoffs would leak out such a thing. It looks disloyal and, IMO, McDaniels would be an idiot to say such a thing.

"Otherwise, Mrs. Lincoln, how was the play?"

I have no idea. I know these coaches have agents. I would assume some early contact to gauge interest is through them.

This is another thing I hope is asked in tomorrow's presser.

The fans are going to have to react to this. I don't believe that Amy made this decision. I think she had influence making it. Robinson took the job KNOWING they were going to retain Mularky.
Boards like this help but, the biggest threat to ownership is how the fans at the game react when the team is on TV. If you want to voice your opinion, do it at the stadium in front of the cameras. Show everyone how you feel about this Dog & Pony Show.
