Odd since all you hear is good things from our players about him. Mariota even calling him a "players coach" after he was hired.

Either he has learned from those mistakes or the gloves are about to come off since he got the full-time gig.

He has. He isn't going to do any of the silly things he did in Jacksonville.

He's talked about it before, and he is much more laid back.

Sucks at coaching? Probably. But he isn't going to try to be a drill Sargeant again.

From all indications.....including Kuharskey, he is much different now.
Some of that stuff seems/is silly but I'm guessing it had to do with instilling some type of accountability and discipline that was missing.

I think calling it A nauseating article is a bit much. There were reasons given that flat out said there were things not in his control and there were positive comments from players as well.

I get that everyone is upset by this hire and the process (or lack there of) and I know I'll get lit up for this but.....
call him a terrible hire, a $h1t coach, etc, etc..... But let's leave the "douchebag " and personal stuff out of it. I've met him and been around him on a few occasions. I have met 2 of our 4 HCs and a few assistants over the years. Some nicer, less arrogant, etc than others.
MM is one of the nicest, most genuine, sincere people I have met....coach or Joe Blow on the street.
That doesn't mean I agree with the hire or process. It just means I think there is a difference between saying his coaching is **** and saying the man is a "piece of $sh1t" or a "douchebag".

He may be a nice guy, but the fact remains he is not a good coach. His overall record proves that. Also, none of us really know how he is going to be now that the job is fully his. Don't get caught up in how "nice" he is. Bill Belichick, Parcells, Johnson...no one ever accused them of being nice. Not to say it's never happens, but Mularkey is a retread.

You missed my whole point. I don't disagree with you at all.
I'm not "caught up" in anything.
I have no problem calling him a retread or agreeing with it. If you read what I said you would know that.

Btw- Saying someone is "caught up in the fact that he is s nice guy" infers that the opinion comes from listening to other's hype.
I know the guy so my opinion is definitely my own.
Besides.....it shouldn't matter to you now. You already voted in the poll that you were done with the Titans and we're going to find a new team. ;)

Sounds to me like he wanted to be a 'tough coach', but his players just didn't respond because they were probably used to giving a half-assed effort (much like Titans players now)

MJD (by far the best player at the time) held out, then got injured.

He was stuck with Blaine Gabbert at QB

And his team quit on him because of his tough guy style of coaching

No wonder they went 2-14 that year
