Bobby April had a lot of good special teams units over the years in Buffalo. Was about the only thing you could count on being good with them from year to year.

So without Horton, most likely, that leaves us with Lebeau who is 80. Not exactly thinking long term. Should have considered Schwartz who openly said he wanted the job.

 

I believe Schwartz said he wanted to see what happened (who was going to be head coach) with Titans. I took that to mean he would be interested in DC job with Titans IF the new HC was going to run a 4-3 defense. It now looks like Titans will stick with 3-4 and LeBeau. Schwartz is and probably always will be a 4-3 guy, so not a good fit with Titans..

 

Mularkey isn't the one telling the DC what defense to run. Mularkey is an offensive guy. My opinion is we should have hired Schwartz and switched to his wide-9 4-3 (which isn't that different). I think Lebeau is a good coach but he's almost 80. How many more years could be possible coach and once we does we are back to square one.
