I find that last statement immediately disingenuous due to the fact that he took the job contingent on keeping a complete scrub at HC.

Anyone can get up there and act all emotional and talk about how their mom packed their dad's lunch every day. As we Titan fans should know damn good and well by now, actions speak louder than words.

I'm willing to give him a chance as well. He's just not starting off on the right foot IMO with the whole Mularkey deal.

I think that's foolish to believe. It's pretty clear AAS is the one who is ultimately steering the ship.

well Underwood did say Robinson controls the 53-man roster, you think that was a lie or will change at some point?

the reason Mularkey is still here is because of his commitment to keeping Mariota clean. Clearly Robinson believes in that philosophy as well. Theres nothing wrong with their line of thinking. How does a franchise go anywhere if their QB's are always busted up?

I believe he has control of the 53-man roster. So in that respect at least, we should be improved. I'm just worried AAS is going to think she's smarter than her GM. Let's say Mularkey goes 5-11 this year and then say 7-9 in 2017. Now let's say Robinson has seen enough and wants to move on. But AAS still likes Mularkey and thinks "we're close". Are you confident Robinson is going to be able to override AAS in a situation like that? Because I'm definitely not based on the way this whole GM/HC process just went down.

No Im not confident in that either, but as of now the FO is making it appear as if Robinson has full reign on personnel decisions.. And thats all we have to go off of is what they said, and not what we think may play out in a year or two...

Also Mulareky saying things like he's learned his lessons over the years and now knows what works and doesn't made me feel better. Most coaches never admit to being wrong, he is smart enough to at least say he's been wrong before..

Considering our recent history involving first round O linemen, you have a very logical point.

You must not follow the draft much. OT's are taken in the top 3 as often as QB's are. Why? Because, elite one's who can be trusted to protect your QB, are VERY rare. The are golden to a franchise...especially to teams who know they have their franchise QB. You wouldn't try to protect Andrew Luck with a scrub.

Our most glaring deficiency this past year was at RT. Being known as the Tennessee Tight-Wads during Free Agency, we aren't going to outbid any other team for OT's like Russell Okung or Andrew Smith, in FA...so we would otherwise have to settle for someone no one else really wants....like we have the past few years, Andy Levitre aside.

That means we are going to have to address that glaring need in the draft. All the top OT's in any given draft, tend to go by the end of the 1st Rd. And given the fact that there will be 4 QB's with a 1st Rd grade, we don't stand much of a chance finding a trade partner for the 1st Pick. When you put all of that together, there really isn't any other choice for this franchise. If they want to insure they have a OT who can protect Mariota opposite Lewan, then they have to take Tunsil at No.1.

I wish we could address that need in FA, or trade back, but odds are heavily against it. Robinson's job as GM got 100x harder when AAS and Lorax handed them a HC with a lopsided losing record on the league's worst team.

Exactly you have to protect the franchise QB and drafting the best OT in the draft is the best way to do that......if you can't trade out then you take Tunsil over Bosa.....their is no RB or WR worthy of the 1st pick.....we would be the 1st team in the history of the draft to take a DB at #1 if we were to take Ramsey.

I'd be fine with that, LTs are so lame to go no.1
