I'd agree with that, still supports my original point that he's not who you should be quoting as support for an opinion regarding the draft

Anyone looking for a scout to listen to should follow Greg Cosell on twitter, this time of year the guy is pumping out great stuff

hes not actually a scout, but he knows what he's looking at when scouting NFL prospects

Round grades at this point are pointless. No combine times or interviews. Juniors probably haven't even been fully broken down yet.

I've been hoping Henry is there when we pick at the top of the 2nd Rd. I don't think he's dynamic enough to say he's definitely a 1st Rd grade, but he gets a bad rap, unnecessarily. Henry is a North-South, in between the tackles style of runner...not a slasher. So, knocking him because he's not a slasher is a bit silly.

He's a one cut runner, and that is what we need. We don't need a Dexter McCluster dancing around trying to juke defenders, allowing others to quickly converge on him. CJ had started doing that too much, and his numbers fell through the floor. In the NFL, that extra second is all it takes for the defense to swarm to the ball. Only have time for one cut and get vertical.

The other thing some seem to overlook is the fact that Henry actually has the speed to get to the edge. He has the elusiveness to make that first defender miss or eat a stiff-arm...and he has the power to run through arm-tackles.

I don't know that I would take him in the 1st Rd, but definitely in the 2nd

Mel was an NFL scout, and he is right on most of his evaluations. I don't always buy what he, McShay or Mike Mayock have to say, but he is a good source of info, at least.

He's far from being the NFL Draft version of Skip Bayless. He has NFL scouting credentials, Bayless doesn't have any sports related credentials. He's just a talking head and has always been one.

He's not perfect and he's not awful, either. Remember, he and McShay were saying that Jake Locker had some serious accuracy and inconsistency problems, and because of that, they had him graded as a late 1st Rd to 2nd Rd grade. They weren't very high on Mettenberger, either. Kudos to them both, for being spot on, regarding our previous 2 QB's. They also liked Bridgewater and Carr.

So Henry wasn't fortunate to get to run behind the best offensive line in football? You know, the one that won the Joe Moore Award for most outstanding offensive line.
