I have been collecting on and off since 2004. I'm interested in finding out if there's any others who collect?

I have a couple of albums of baseball and football cards I found recently that I collected probably 15-18 years ago. I doubt there's anything great in there though.

It would be interesting to see if any of them are worth anything. From what I understand there isn't much of a market for those things any more though.

Growing up, there were several shops in town that bought/sold/traded cards and some cards went for several hundred dollars. With my luck I have cards that were worth that back then but couldn't give them away now.

thats what you do with the crummy cards if you're still riding a bike yea, I used to do that when I collected cards as a kid.

The idea doesn't appeal to me anymore, but I have several binders and boxes of cards somewhere in my moms house

The internet ruined the value of cards from 83' and up (also oversaturation), and it even killed the value of some of the older cards as well. I have every Nolan Ryan card, and his rookie used to be valued at $1500 or more for a mint grade card. Now the value is about $500. The access the internet has given collectors has driven the value of most of them down. It used to be much more difficult to find cards back in the day, making them a little more rare. I have about 60,000 cards (mostly baseball), but I do have some NBA and Football stuff from say 1985 to 1992 or so. I will never get the money out of them that I put in it. Look them up individually- some still have value- full sets carry the most value.
