Rams own Philly's 2nd rounder this year as part of the Bradford trade.

If we want to trade down to #15 the Rams have 2 #2 43 & 45. They are desperate for a QB if they value Goff they may give up both 2nd rounders another future 1st. And a possible 3rd or 4th to boot.

Be great to have 3 #2 picks

I'd be pissed if we went all the way down to #15...

Me too . . . but three 2nd round picks would be nice. Could come away with 4 starters. If Webster was GM, I would put our odds at getting 1 to 0 starters out of such a trade. But I am being optimistic on Robinson . . . he might get us 3-4 starters with that trade. I would take two solid olinemen, CB, and a Safety . . .

Yup a good gm would rake having 4 picks out of the top 45 picks. Besides QB I'd take best player available. I'd imagine most positions are open for upgrades on this team. I know a couple years ago when the Rams picked Donald in mid 1st rd, I was like really? We need offense (which we did) but as it turned out that guy is a beast and truly could be a future hof-er if he stays healthy. I think early picks are so important to hit on almost have to stick to the board early...I think you can roll the dice and draft for needs after the 3rd.

If you have the No.1 QB in hand, somebody is gonna make a trade for him. Cleveland probably would if we let them know we are prepared to do just that, if we get no plausible trade offers to get out of that No.1 spot. It's been done before, so it's not crazy when you know you have a player many want.

Call it a bluff, but it could be a certain way to scare them into trading at least OT Joe Thomas, who would be a 2-3yr solution at OT. That would allow us to draft the BPA, rather than need.

If we can trade down to #15, while picking up the Rams 2 2nds, maybe their 3rd and a 2nd next year - you do it.

    Take Elliot at #15
CB, FS, OL in the 2nd

With Joe Thomas publicly stating he wanted out of Cleveland, I can see them trade him to us, to move up

Cleveland moving up from No.2 to No.1, when they know we have no plans to take a QB, is effectively immaterial and they know it. Problem is, if they want Goff bad enough are they willing to make it worth our while to turn other offers down?

This is why I think them trading Pro Bowl OT Joe Thomas makes sense. He has a lot of value to a team like us, who need an immediate fix at the position. But not so much that he would warrant a 1st Rd pick...because he is 30. I would probably ask for Thomas and maybe a 3rd Rd pick for them to swap 1st Rd picks with us. If we get too greedy, we get nothing at all. Picking No.2 is just as good as picking No.1, this year

If this were a loaded draft...3 first rounds...

But since it's not.... 1st this yr, 1st next, and a 2nd or 3rd year after..
