Both Denver and Arizona have coaching staffs with comparable age as ours, guess you would have a problem being in their shoes right now...

 

I don't care about the age as much as I do experience and successful track record. Not really seeing that on the offensive side of the ball. I guess Mularkey believes everyone who hasn't sustained success is a victim of circumstance like him.

 

Robiskie for example has not been in demand as an OC for decades. He had his second chance run with the Browns as well as a brief head coaching stint and did not do anything extraordinary.

Out of the dozens of coaches on the offensive side of the ball that we could have interviewed and considered he was the best option? WR coaches, QB coaches, college OCs and none of them were qualified?

Why didn;t they interview Joe Philben? He's now the colts OL coach. Philben had no job from October when he was fired. We could have snapped him up for OC or OL coach. Why are we so dumb?

Why no interview with Joe Philben? He worked with McCarthy for 5 years as OC and has head coaching experience. Might be a good guy to have on the team even if he is just the OL coach. The Colts snapped him up for that.

You could argue that John Elway has done great in Denver with older retread coaches. Fox and Kubiak. Kubiak was 61-64 as a head coach when he was hired and Fox was coming off a 2-14 season at Carolina.

I think from Elway's perspective he was confident he could handle the personnel part and bring in good players and needed an experienced coach for that talent.

 

Damn, did you see that geriatric Wade Phillips beat the **** out of Josh McDaniels offense? Guess he is too old to coach a great defense....

 

he's to stupid to have his KR team stay in their lanes....
