Got to have talent to have a chance. But the best teams have everything on that list.

Drafting phyiscally gifted athletes with the "P" word, every Titan fan has heard this word for years, instead of athletes that are just good football players. Hopefully this will change now.

This team lacks leadership and chemistry and for lack of better words swag. It all starts with ur qb who is supposed to instill these qualities. Thats what makes the panthers so good. Chemistry and swag. Keith bulluck brought that swag to our defense. We need more vocal leaders like him and less leaders like mariota. Mariota is a good qb but not a good leader

I think the team's biggest problem from an on the field perspective is the OL. When the OL can't block, we can't run. When we can't run, we end up in 3rd and long's and then our QB's get killed (injured), throw picks, and fumble the ball. In short, it leads to very inconsistent offense. Inconsistent offense leads to a defense being on the field too much. A tired defense is not good. We were 22nd in TOP. We probably need 2-3 new starters via FA or the draft if not more!

Mariota has shown he can do a lot of great things but he's at his best when we can run and he can throw more playaction passes. Also, when he can be protected and not living in 3rd and 10 all game.

A lot of our RB problems are due to our OL. Fix the OL and we may be pleasantly surprised that our RB's are not nearly half as bad as their stats show. This cascading effect is the single biggest thing we need to fix that will have the biggest change in W's and L's.

I would listing scheme and coaching changes but those have already happened.

Improvement at WR would be next on the offensive side. Hunter has not developed to where we need him to be and Wright is still trying to break from being JUST a slot WR. DGB improved but isn't there yet. If DGB can be our Dez Bryant or D-Thomas with Wright doing his best Edelman/Brown impression, we'll be fine.

At ILB, Williamson is a good player but we a stud next to him. Brown flashes every once in a while but gives up a lot more than he takes away and doesn't have heart. Woodyard has a great game every few but disappears for others. Lack of pursuit at ILB has been one of our biggest problems in run D. Need to add a stud FA (Derrick Johnson) or draft (several guys available this year).

In addition to ILB, we need more depth at OLB. When Morgan went down, it dramatically shifted our ability to pressure the QB. We need a Dwight Freeny type who is old but can still be an effective pass rusher as well as a drafted player to develop (ala what Pitt used to do).

We have been rather unsuccessful at coaching up CB's except for Verner and McCourty. In LeBeau's system, cb's will be left on an island at times and we got burned a lot. We were 12th in yards but 27th in points given up. Part of the points was our offense's inability to move the ball, but the other part was giving up big plays and our cb's got smoked way too much. Here is a GREAT place to add a stud FA (Josh Norman) if available/great/young or draft (Jalen Ramsey). The top defenses seem to have at least 1 stud CB.

S has been a problem for years. It's time for the team to say good bye to Griff and bring in someone else in FA (Eric Berry) or via the draft (plenty of options). Searcy is a solid player but going from Griff to a stud will go a long way against the run and pass...especially if we upgrade CB and ILB too!!!

I would list special teams too except that as with half of the OL problems, the biggest improvement there is from coaching and we already have a new coach.
