I was a big time Collins fan during his recruitment and watched a few of his games while at Arkansas. That being said, I'm not sure of his ceiling in the NFL. He doesn't have the speed of Elliott and he doesn't have the physical attributes or the potential of Henry. Now, Collins is still a really violent runner and grinds for extra yards but he's kinda like Sankey as a prospect. Good at a few things, not great at anything in particular. He would be a safe pick but not the pick I would take at the top of the 2nd. In the first 2 rounds I want to draft guys that have the potential to really shake up this franchise and be franchise guys, I don't see Collins in that kind of way. I do think he'll find his way in the NFL but I rather wait until the 3rd round to get him.

Catching out of the backfield is interesting. When it happens, a lot of success has come from it but the problem is he rarely got the ball. He's already a 3 down back because of his blocking ability, if he can become a bit more consistent catching the ball then we're onto something.

The OL question is legitimate, it really just depends on what kind of offense he goes into. No, we don't have a very good OL (yet) but pair him with Mariota and we could have a lethal backfield. Defenses won't be to account for both of them.

The interesting thing, him and Collins are very similar in style. Collins' field vision I would rate a bit better, along with footwork but everything else is Henry. They even share 2 main knocks: Catching out of the backfield and the success of their OL's. Remember, Arkansas had the biggest OL in football last year and that's not just college football. Collins and his fellow teammate Williams had quite a bit of success due to this as well.

I think that's pretty spot on. He's a bruiser who will get you a chunk of yards per carry because of his running style but I'm not sure his game can develop into much more than that.

At least the DH nutswingers here have tempered their expectations down from "the next Earl Campbell" to potential 2nd round choice..
    I can live with that..

thats going to be 99% of all RB's going forwards. Its a numbers things, there are more than 32 capable RB's nowadays

Punter got it better these days... At least theres some job security there.. RB's are always gonna have to fight for theirs..

I hear that - but recall there were some DH @ pick #1 conversations here not all that long ago. All the drafts like EE early though..

Henry has No.1 overall tape and production, but reality is he's a RB and RB stock is way low.. In 1996 Henry would possibly go first.

RB's are in a weird spot now....I think teams are starting to come around drafting them early (Gurley) this year Elliott....but they are very hit or miss....Then you have guys like Bishop Sankey..............#5 or after talent wise...but taken as the first RB in the draft...only the Titans. haha
