Im guessing you never watched any of there games. He wasn't giving up sacks like he was here.

He has better help around him and Matt Ryan is 100x the QB Levitre had to block for before, hes still quite bad on his own

I would wish the owners would make a decision and if amy takes complete control will start to address the fans accordantly and start putting some confidence into the way she approaches the team so fans can have confidence in her.

I actually think our overall roster has more talent than most people realize, but the REAL problem is, we went from Munchak, who really only had a few bad staff hires, and being in the middle of the pack....to hiring a HC who was fired after a miserable tenure in Arizona (Whisenhunt).

When that came back to bite us in the bum, sure enough the ownership and the Mustache decide to hire someone with an even worse record. It's almost what you would expect an enemy (in Houston) to do to an organization...acquire ownership of the team and kill it from within...via rancid coaching hires and refusal to spend most of your salary cap, in order to obtain the most talent possible.

First off, Munchak - the supposed terrible HC - got us to 7-9 with a much WORSE roster than we have now and a backup qb playing the vast majority of the time. We had an improved roster last year and went 2-14. We add a franchise QB who starts 3/4 of the season, a vet WR, a potential #1 WR in the draft, and a legitimate pass rusher in Orakpo....and for that roster improvement we've earned being the WORST team in the NFL? When you add good talent to key positions and get worse, you have a coaching/scheme problem. This is not to say we have the most loaded roster either of course. But the Pats had more OL problems than we did and went to the AFC Championship game while we were last. You might also ask yourself why Oher can't play RT for us as he was getting beat a lot but can go to Carolina the next year and be a solid LT for them and is going to the Super Bowl.

Our OL for example, we added first round talent, and they've gotten worse. We add high price vets...and they get worse. Our other drafted players there...got worse. The undrafted guys...got worse! You hear coaches talk all the time about being teachers first. Well if your 'students' are getting worse, you're not a very good teacher. Lewan and Warmack are the most telling because they are talented prospects so we can't just claim they stink as players. But when their technique is bad - from hand placement to footwork to not knowing which side to block a player on a trap to not knowing who to block on run plays at all...these are coaching issues. We would never have allowed an OL to play on our High School team with the level of confusion and poor technique we see on the Titans...and that's not on the players, it's on the coaches.

Buddy Ryan used to make his players take tests to make sure they knew how to line up against every possible formation or formation change and knew their responsibility in every situation! His head would have exploded if he had seen us not lineup to cover Brandon Marshall - the opposing team's best WR! That's a coaching problem. Do you see any other team have that problem? Me either and that's on Mularkey's watch!!!

Why would Henry be a great pick for us? He needs space to run as he's a bit of a plodder early on. We've seen in games that if he doesn't have clear creases, he can be shut down just from the blocking not opening big holes. OUR OL isn't opening up holes either right now so he'd be another guy being labeled as a bust (like Sankey) because he has to break tackles just to get back to the line of scrimmage. It's funny, if you don't think the line improvement will come from coaching and scheme changes (for our current personel), why would you advocate taking a player with our 2nd round pick who won't be able to run behind what we currently have. Shouldn't you be arguing a total personel overhaul of the OL if you think it's a personel issue?

Cash is a great in the box player, but he almost never plays coverage out of the box so he's not a free safety or doesn't appear to be based on where he lines up and how he's been used.

As far as getting a 'true' #1 WR, isn't that why we drafted DGB last year near the top of round 2?

    1. The team has no leadership and it starts at the front office. "The higher the monkey climbs, the more his ass shines".
    2. The team has made bad decisions in drafting. Marcus looks good but, we completely destroyed Locker. Another year and we'll see. (I have a bad feeling that, knowing this management, Marcus will be a 3-and-done QB with us). Maybe we need to overhaul our Scouts.
    3. Ownership still looks at this team as a 'business'. If its a business, that makes us customers, not fans. I was hoping all that would change when Bud the Dud died, but....
    4. Team has no future other than Marcus and a few other players. The FO hasn't given us anything to look forward to. Nothing exciting. I've already made bets that we don't win 3 games next year. The fan base is everything GONE.
    5. In a lot of ways, this doesn't bother me much. I like the idea that I sold my $85 a game Club Seat several years ago and that I can now sit in BETTER seats for $20-25 a game, in the Club Section. We always loose but, I get to see a professional football game whereas I paid more to park my car than I do the padded Club seat on the 45 yard line. Now I'M looking at it as a customer!
