The reality is though,,,We are ending up with Tunsil or Bosa. Unless we trade back, which the odds are less.

Bosa is great til he's expected to make a play, Tunsil doesnt touch the ball, and Robinson said he's open to moving back. A 3-13 team takes almost anything offered so long as we can stay in the top-10 picking.

I expect we'll move back to 6,7 or 8th overall at the worst.. We are deprived of talent, need to get as many players as we can. Robinson is not dumb, he knows this too... I think he'll get a deal done..

The last time a team was able to trade out of the 1st spot was 2004 when Eli Manning and Rivers trade happened...time before that was 2001 with Vick. Any team picking in the top 10 has plenty of personnel issues and doesn't want to just throw picks away unless they feel they are getting the final piece to the puzzle. It is weird how the Browns are the only team in the top 10 looking for a QB.

I think our best hope is for the Chargers to fall in love with Tunsil or for the Cowboys to fall in love with Bosa.

I think we will be stuck making the pick and that is how we should view things going into FA.

With college National Signing Day in the books, I saw a video about Ole Miss' current signing of the No.1 OT in HS, and they compared it to them signing Tunsil a few years ago. I don't like Ole Miss at all and believe like many, that they HAVE to have a Magic ATM Machine somewhere in their football facilities, but that's another discussion for another board. The point is, not only was Tunsil the top OT, but he was one of the top 5 overall players in HS that year.

Their new signee, Greg Little (IIRC), is rated even higher than Tunsil was. This brings me to conclude even more so, that Tunsil will indeed be our pick at No.1. He lived up to his billing coming out of HS. The guy gives this organization more assurance that the OT spots will be positions of strength going forward, and it won't be just a short term fix.

OT is a critical NEED. DE/OLB depth is a only moderate need. CB is a moderate need, and like WR, one we should address in Free Agency. We can probably get a good DE/OLB at the top of the 3rd...which is effectively a late 2nd Rd pick. Shawn Oakman or Curt Maggitt will probably be there.

Yes, LTs are drafted high. However, we already have one. Lewan is our LT. Why would we draft another one if we need a RT? You can find a starter at RT in free agency or in the draft outside of the first round. The notion that all starters on the O-Line need to be superstars is dumb.

Because there is no such thing as drafting a guy who is only a LT or RT. You use them where you need them. The Titans fully intended for Lewan to be the LT for years to come, but needs at RT have become so acute that we are going to have to draft another one. Lewan will probably get bumped to RT.

It's possible that our new GM tries to address that need in FA, but then you are talking about having to pay through the nose to try and get one of the few good ones to come play for a team that was the worst in the league and with a HC whose record is abysmal. Another thing to consider is that we have tried to address that RT need via FA for the past few seasons, and it's gotten us nowhere.

OT is simply the biggest need by far and we get the first pick in the draft to address it with. My money is on us drafting Tunsil. I wish would could address it in FA, instead, but the Mularkey hire tells me it's a very slim chance of that.

Is that you Ruston? This logic earned us a top 2 pick in consecutive years. An OG at 10 followed by a LT at 11. Good job, you nailed it.
