Dumb, eh? When was the last time you saw a DB taken No.1 overall? Don't google it, now. You talk like you already know the answer. I'll hang up and listen.:homer:

Yeah, and this is how you end up taking Robert Gallery over Sean Taylor.

Or Mike Williams over Quentin Jammer.

What I like most about that highlight reel is that Bosa is VIOLENT! He has a very high motor, he's relentless, and he's making plays inside and on the edge. He is as close to a Watt-type player as there is.

This dude is all attitude, he reminds me of a combination of Watt with the attitude of Kyle VandenBosch.

The counter argument is that the Seattle D was more violent in their front 7, making the LOB relevant. The Pats didn't win bc Revis/Browner, they're the Pats! And lastly, how did Browner do this year? Revis/Cromartie didn't seem to take the Jets to the SuperBowl

I want to get as many hits on the QB as possible, I don't see Corners doing that. Hits on the QB do way more to a QB than a shutdown corner on a crappy D.

I understand that. But that's just the way this particular game went. If it had been an offensive showdown there would be a thread called "This Super Bowl illustrated just how important the QB and WR positions are".

As for the talking heads, they are just that. I seriously doubt any GM or HC watched that Super Bowl and suddenly thought "Well I guess we really need to prioritize the DE position this offseason." And if they did, they probably shouldn't have a job in the first place.

That might be what he looks like on a highlight reel, but his motor runs pretty cold sometimes.

To further the point there have only been 4 OT taken at #1 in the history of the NFL. The last one couldn't play the position he was drafted for. Maybe it is time to buck the norm and try something a little different this time.
