While I'm disappointed there isn't an elite talent level QB coming into this draft that teams are clamoring over, I believe it's in our best interests to try and trade down a few spots. If we could add another 2nd round pick and possibly 3rd round this draft it would be a tremendous help.

Now instead of drafting Tunsil, the Titans should go the free agent route to get some experience on the line. Cordy Glenn from Buffalo is a free agent. He's a very good tackle and is only 26 years old. If Glenn doesn't work out there is a player like Russell Okung from Seattle who is a solid starter in the league and would help our line.

It's been a very long time since we've had a shut down corner. The closet thing we've had recently was Finnegan and he still wasn't a great corner. Good corner, but not great. I would love for the Titans to draft Ramsey from Florida State. That would finally give us a corner who has to potential to be one of the best in the league. Plus that slides McCourty back to our 2nd corner which I believe is where he'd be best. Plus Cox rounding out our top 3 is pretty solid. Now since the Titans cut Griffin (FINALLY) there's a positional need at safety. If the Titans would finally open their wallets to a player like Eric Berry, then they would have a tremendously upgraded secondary.

Unfortunately I think the Titans missed on running backs the past couple years. I don't think Cobb or Sankey is our answer in the backfield. With our second round pick I'd like to grab Derrick Henry from Alabama or Paul Perkins form UCLA. Looking at a lot of mock drafts I've seen Henry dropping to the early second round in nearly all of them. If by chance he isn't available I would definitely go with Perkins (some UCLA bias here..). Perkins is yet another underrated UCLA running back coming into the league. He had a higher YPC than Henry in each of their last 2 seasons, plus he is a much better receiving threat from the back field. Henry caught 17 passes in all his 3 seasons combined while Perkins never caught less than 24 passes in a season. Perkins is a good mix of power and speed and breaks quite a few tackles. The thing I love most about him after watching him for 3 years is that he is quick to find the open gap and hitting hit hard. There's really no dancing around from him in the backfield which I LOVE.

Assuming the Titans did pick up another second round pick, I'd say they should go for Josh Doctson from TCU (WR).

    I don't think Ramsey is a Corner.

I think his upside is a playmaker all over the field and means he's a safety.

I don't have anything against him, I just don't think he is that level of prospect. Seems like a mid-round guy.

Nothing wrong with Perkins, but he doesn't fit Mularkey's classic RB mold. If the Titans let Mularkey have input on the next RB we take I have to assume its going to be a 230lb bruiser like all his other No.1 RB's over the years as a OC or HC

And yes please to Henry or Doctson with our 2nd pick

There is no way he bypasses Henry if he is sitting there at 33....Not when you can literally get a franchise tackle, and now a run game in just two picks. I'd be surprised.

The smart play is to not overdraft a RB in this draft for these reasons.

First, no RB is going anywhere until the OL is fixed. Adding tunsil doesn't automatically fix the OL. Everyone on the OL needs to be coached up and KNOW what they are doing. We don't know if Poutasi can be a solid starting LG in this league or not so he's a big question mark. Can Lewan and Warmack play like first rounders? Can Schwenke stay healthy? What type of run blocking scheme are we gonna use...zone, power, combo, etc?

Second, once the OL is fixed, maybe we DO have a good RB on the roster already. We won't know until the OL can block.

Third, there will be quite a good RB class next year!

Fourth, while Henry has the numbers, he's also taken a beating in number of carries which isn't good long term for a big rb. He's also not as good between the tackles when he has to get skinny and doesn't have as much lateral agility or pop and considering how poor our OL blocking has been...we may have another 'bust' as a 2nd rnd rb.

It's not a sexy pick, but i wouldn't be surprised if they took a guy like Butler to play NT in rnd 2! There are also some S prospects worth looking at in rounds 2-4.

If youre counting on Schwenke youve already lost. We better not allow him to win that job... Guy is crap when healthy, if he wasnt hurt so often everyone would know this and he'd be out with Griffin.
