Free agent DBs are not the way to go, as far as getting bang for your buck. The guys who hit the market get crazy money. You're better off drafting them and getting them on the cheap for four or five years.

Corners are one of the only positions I suggest staying away from.

Time after time, they are proven to be a product of their system. It is extremely rare one goes on to a new team and plays even remotely as good as they did.

The only corners we should go after in free agency, are ones that will be 4th through 6th string.

Yea but thats not a good argument, same applies for QB's, LT's, WR's, OLB's...... If we can get our hands on good players we should be all over them..

Well Talib, Revis, Joseph, Smith, and many many others have proven that to be untrue..

Pacman is the only one of those guys that I wouldn't look at. The fact is that in todays league you have to have 3 solid CBs. We don't so Robinson needs to kick the tires on all of them during FA. I would like to land Casey Hayward because he has the versatility to play slot and outside. I would see him being mainly our slot CB with Cox and McCourty on the outside.

We need help at CB in a big way....I see us hitting it in FA and in the draft

You wouldnt look at a guy like Prince? He is a very good cb but has a history of injury. I think he is worth a gamble more then a few guys ahead of him.

I wouldn't spend big on a FA WR either.

Let's be honest, the positions that demand the biggest money, QB, DB, WR, LT and pass rusher aren't going to be guys that you can build your team around if you acquire them via free agency. Teams don't let them walk because they're too valuable. There is something wrong with the player, whether it be injuries, age, or just being a malcontent.

Sure, we can cherrypick a guy here or there like Peyton Manning, Drew Brees, or Darrelle Revis, but that guy isn't going to be available this year.

Build your team through the draft and supplement it through free agency.

Right, but we have too many holes to be picky, and the cap is always growing, and we have lots to spend, why not spend it...? Ruston is gone, its ok to want things again..

Not really. He's above average. We have enough average/above average.

I'd take a look at Smith, Jenkins, and Johnson if the price is right.
