    If I hadn't needed this new machine ASAP I would've ordered online. As much as I do love Apple's computers I loathe the whole uppity hipster culture that goes along with it. I feel kind of icky just being in that store.

    I wasn't even aware you could shut it down. I thought it just had to be running all the time. I really don't even use it very often so I may not even bother installing it on the new computer.

    Okay last bit of help, hopefully...... So as I said I bought another HD for my old laptop and I'm going to replace it. However, since it is completely bricked and the computer did not originally come with a disc for Windows, how am I supposed to get Windows 7 loaded? Do I go ahead and install the new HD and then put Windows 7 on a flash drive or something?

    @Alzarius ?

    sounds about right.. you'd need a way for the comp to read the flash drive though, not sure if you can do that from BIOS or when it's booting up.. I'm sure you could find info though

    I would atleast have Windows 7 handy on a flash drive just in case.

    Maybe you can google on re-installing HD and Windows ? Never done it before, but that's where I would start first.

    Would love to get another computer. Been eye balling a gopro camera to be the all-in-one camera/camcorder for the family (expecting first child end of March). Not looking forward working with the gopro software or looking through the pictures/videos on my ancient laptop. I know you can connect the gopro to your phone and look at everything that was taken on their instantly, but prefer to look on a screen bigger than what my phone is.
