First, you said no big free agent would come here and they only go to the top teams. I'm pointing out what a team with cap money - like the Titans - will offer (because that is probably what Okung or Glenn can get on the open market at LT) vs a playoff team that doesn't have that kind of room. So a team like the Panthers will have to offer a much lower than market value. point is, do Okung or Glenn wanna lose $25-30mil of their payday to play for a top team and have a much better CHANCE at a Championship? Just pointing out what they are giving up and for most players who have not gotten their big payday yet, they go for the money most of the time!

This franchise is NOT normally tight fisted. We overpay everyone...new free agents, our own players and have gone out of our way to not be cheap more often than not...even when the team was very successful! But whatever has happened in the past, we have a new GM and don't know what he'll do in the spending department so we'll have to wait and see and hope!

I agree that we will find out soon if the Titans just want this to be a money making machine for them at the expense of building a winning team. If we still have $20mil in cap space, don't go after free agents who can help us, this team will be doomed until new ownership arrives!

Tunsil>>>>Stanly. Stanley hasnt been good in run game.. Tunsil is much better than what you give him for. He has taken plays off but I think its more of a an issue with stength and conditioning. His natural athleticism is gonna be the diference. both have good technique and quickness.

I'm seriously fine at piocking Tunsil for RT... Its basically the same as FS imo. Get a top quality LG and or C.... New identiy. I think hes top taletnt in this draft.

It's funny. I say Tunsil's not a driving type run blocker and you tell me he's athletic and it's a conditioning problem or he takes plays off. So you're saying a guy with a conditioning problem and takes plays off should be the #1 pick in the draft?

Tunsil doesn't have a conditioning problem. He has some technique issues, but I think he has a strength issue. Find me tape of him against top level competition (LSU or Alabama) driving someone out of the play. I have more tape to watch but so far, it's not happening even when he's part of a double team...and that's not good. Well, good if you use only a zone blocking run game. I don't think that will be us but we have yet to see what Grimm/Robiskie/Mularkey come up with.

I would never take a player #1 who played out of condition and took plays off (while playing for one of the most lucrative jobs in the world). What happens to a lazy player when they get $20mil guaranteed?

You're watching his tape in 2014... when he was still graded as a first rounder. Not yet the #1 overall. And he stepped it up more this year. Watch the A&M game when he shuts down next years #1 overall Myles Garrett. Or the 2015 LSU game he put another good game together.

In the run game you're right hes more of a walling off guy-- I'd attribute it more to scheme though. I also think he could get a bit stronger. Regardless the walling part works fine, you don't see this guy lose his guy and results in the play getting blown up. Additionally hes ridiculously quick to the second level and you can see him bully linebackers with ease.

I don't see any technique issues personally. Him and Stanley have really great technique. His footwork is top notch.

He could do a better job finishing plays but you see this thing with a lot of top tier draft picks... I don't think its that bad. Thats the kinda thing you look for in the interviews.

Lawson did get the better of him though. One poor game imo. I think the A&M one makes up for it.

Also I don't think its possible to overstate how good of a pass protector Tunsil is. The guy routinely has shut down every pass rusher he goes up against (minus a couple plays against Lawson). The defense just ends up going through the motion against this guy. Nobody gets thru him. Him and Lewan are solid for 4 years.

Shon Coleman did the same thing and he'll be available later, when we should pick a RT.

New Titans GM Jon Robinson hinted he wants to build the team through the offensive and defensive lines.

"If you watch the Super Bowl, the team that actually got to the quarterback, they won the Super Bowl. The team that protected their quarterback, they won the Super Bowl," Robinson said. "So it is about the lines, and protecting the quarterback and keeping him upright so he can get the ball to the guys who run and catch." The Titans have underrated talent along the defensive front seven, but they need more on the offensive front. As a solution, no move would be more aggressive than selecting Ole Miss LT Laremy Tunsil with the No. 1 overall pick. With Tunsil on the left and former first-round pick Taylor Lewan switching to the right side, Tennessee would have talented bookends to build the offense around.

Sounds like what Webster and Munchack said back when they were first hired.

We'll see if Robinson's execution is any better.
