I went to the lunch, sat in one of the seats removed from the upper deck. Got a 9.00 beer from the guy walking by yelling Ice Cold Beer! Also got one of the Amy bobble heads when T-Rac's sling shot landed on my table. Only thing I learned Titans coaches have 360 years of coaching experience. 300 of those years are by Dick LeBeau. Day wasn't a total loss, got to see Eddie George on Broadway singing on the CBS Evening News.

    Just got back home

    First the good stuff...

The parking was free and onsite, well mostly. Parking is at the newish swanky convention center, but the event is across the street kinda sorta... it is kinda wierd cause even though you have to cross a street it is covered by the convention center. Anyways they were looking for the paperwork this time cause there is a Predators game going on at the same time. But the gates were raised when I exited so getting out was easy. Especially so cause I left when the new GM started into his canned spiel about growing up a poor black child in Appalachia... They had these water bottles at the table so I grabbed a couple. More than enough for 1 for every attendee. So much for the good stuff

Titans resigned TE Stephens... all the details Robinson devulged. Doubt that will come across the 4 letter network scroller so great news everyone the 3-13 Titans signed a backup TE. Guess there could be worse news.

The Lorax opened it up by giving lip service to how much the PSL holders mean to the FO. We all know this is a total load of :bs: but that is what he said as he introduced Keith.

Strunk did about 4 mins onstage with Keith in a clearly rehearsed speech. She wants to win, is committed to win, blah blah blah... Apparently being able to sing kum-bah-yah is pretty real important to Strunk as she mentioned how well Mularkey gets along with Robinson. Apparently they bath together Penn State style or something. Honestly her segment lasted only slightly longer than a sCam Newton losing press conference.

Mularkey was next and exactly nothing was said about his abysmal HC record. He claimed inability to change anything mid season last year. Claims to be simplifying the O for MM8 and the rest of the O. Went into a canned speech about 363 years experience on his staff - half by DLB. Keith asked why it was so important to be the HC of the Titans. He went on about how he was able to get 'like minded assistants who enjoy winning'. Well damn who dont??? He tried his best to polish the turd that was his hiring and his unemployable staff. Oh Mularkey said the staff was working with great energy installing new systems. Those are the words he used... great energy. Mularkey also claimed that bringing all those retired Titans to the empty facility will inspired the players. Somehow this will work even though the players are not at the facility at this time. Only volunteer workouts allowed at this point of offseason. Claimed participation was at an all time high. How he would know this I have no clue.

Robinson came on and spoke about getting 'tough, smart, team first football players'. At least the Titans get to pick first so hopefully he finds one or two. I took the comments to be indictments of players like :cj: & 'the Diva'. Robinson said they released 'la Vagician' out of respect so he could showcase his talents to the OTHER 31 teams before their rosters fill up. Mentioned that combine was only a third about the brodcast exercises. Said the other parts where the teams talked to the players and had team doctors inspect them was at least as important. Struck me that maybe he wont get mancrushes on guys in shorts and Tshirts all Floyd Reese style.

When Robinson went into his 'poor black child' speech I grabbed a couple of the giveaways and beat the crowd out of the parking garage.

Chicken breast with a marina sauce, some different colored pasta and some steamed mixed vegetables. Parmisan cheese was available and there was bread. Really big slice of chocolate cake for desert. Water and unsweetened tea for us people who refuse to buy a $9 beer at a free chicken dinner
