What about our KR/PR situation, we going to wait till training camp to see who doesnt suck. Possibly the draft.

 

I said B- because I feel like Avery Williamson is a "B" and Wesley Woodyard is a "C+"..

I sure would like to see us address the defense in FA at least a little our secondary is awful

 

we re-signed Al woods, signed Brice Mccaan, let Sensabaugh walk and hopefully we'll sign Johnson to address our hole at the safety position. I like it so far...slow and steady...there will be more cuts and waived players to look at soon enough...

 

PFF actually graded Woodyard the 9th best LB in the NFL last year! Rated him playing at Pro Bowl level, ahead of Brandon Marshall, Danny Trevathan, Bruce Irvin, Vontaze Burfict, etc.

Avery Williamson was way down at 59.

Could that be right?

 

I actually like what we are doing a lot. We have about 25 million left in cap space I believe. 10 will go to rookies. So, we have 15 left. If we sign Johnson and Vasquez, that will probably take it down to 8ish. We need to re-sign Walker, Warmack (though, bet we pick up his option) and Wright which will take a bit out of that. We might will also want to re-sign Stafford, Schwenke, and maybe Stevens, Fasano, Hunter, and BWW. Unlike this year, we have players of our own to resign.

JR knows that this is not a one season re-build. He is gonna want to save some money to carry-over to next year as well. He has 8 draft picks this year as well to help build depth. Only RT and CB are pressing needs for us (Assuming we sign Johnson and Vasquez).

 

I thought Woodyard played well last year for us. I have no issues with him and Avery starting for us next year. We need some doeth behind them though. Same with OLB. We have a pretty solid front 7 when healthy and it could be great with a better NT

 

What does everyone think about Jared Crick? I thought he played well against the run and we can probably get him cheap.
