Not really, he was the 3rd OT picked. The pick could have been worse... we could've taken Gilbert.

He was the 3rd pick LT that fell in the draft because of character issues. We supposedly got a "steal".

Yeah, he's a character... pretty sure that was the HUBUB during the draft. His grade for last season was evidently pretty good. Ya' might want to check that out.

I don't need to check anything. He was rated higher than Jake Matthews coming out of college but fell to us.

Also he was involved in a bar fight right before the draft.

Okung and Andre Smith are the only decent tackles left on the market and we haven't been connected to either of them.

I wanted Tunsil originally but Ramsey has always been my favorite player in this draft so I was kind of hoping we'd sign Schwartz or someone else to play RT and then take Ramsey. It's looking like we won't be signing a good tackle, so are people comfortable with Bell and a Day 2 or god forbid Day 3 tackle coming in and competing for the starting RT spot? I'm not.

Im actually pretty cool with a day 2 or day 3 tackle coming in and making a name for himself, I mean happens quite a bit, especially in Tennessee. Actually makes more sense for this team than drafting an o lineman in the first round with our recent track record. We seem to do better with day 2 or 3 o lineman. Safeties and corners on the other hand not so much. Ramsey will change that. Weve had an untitanlike offseason so far, that trend will continue into the draft when Ramsey's name is called #1 overall, we will shock the world.

I know all that, I'm speaking about how he graded out last season, and IIRC most people had Matthews and Joeckel rated higher without the off the field stuff. I've had a nap or ten since then but I know the Matthews name had people talking him up.

Everything is a good idea until you see Mariota laying on the field.

I would have been fine with signing a good RT and drafting Ramsey at 1. That didnt happen so theres a decision that has been made whether people like it or not.

Even if Lewan gets mad and leaves in 2 years. Even if Tunsil sucks. I cannot fault either of them for doing what they had to do to keep Mariota upright and getting experience.

JJ Watt is one of, if not the most dominant defensive players in the league. Look at their big move this off season.

If you dont have a QB, you dont have a team. How Titans fans who have watched every QB that plays get injured behind this line, and still has a problem with picking Tunsil, doesnt make much sense to me. Id much rather have a lot of players in the draft, but it is what it is.

Everything points to Tunsil being the pick. If he isnt, then I will be happy either way. Itll either be Ramsey or a trade. Its hard for them to go wrong unless the pick doesnt work out.

Who knows. Maybe JR hits on later picks and gets us a RT. Thats a big gamble though. However that is win/win if it works out.

Doesn't matter how he graded last season. We're talking about when he came out. He was easily the 2nd best Tackle in the draft and fell to us. Even with how bad he played, he still played better than both tackles taken in front of him.
