Your perspective is flawed by the assumption that both CB and OT performances are independant of other positions performance. It is a foregone conclusion that defense wins championships. And it is a fair assumption to say improving the defense by selecting a top rated D player will have a greater impact to improve a team IF that particular player more significantly improves defensive performance more than any OTHER player that could taken.

But your perspective also fails to account for the effects time of possession (solid run game) and the ability to get and maintain a lead has on defensive performance. In that regard, I don't think anybody can easily assume a CB has the better effect for our Titans team in its current form.

I think the real question is "Does Tunsil improve our OL play better than Ramsey improves our secondary play?" Or more simply stated, as has become the drafting axiom, "Who is the best player available?"

A deal can be brokered if we gave a good dealer. JR has been involved with one f the smartest dealing franchises of late. I'm hopeful he had his eyes/ears open and is of a sharp mind. Interest in the pick CAN be generated if the idea s presented as an opportunity "Too good to pass up". That gets players to the table and then you let their desire determine the value of the pick. I'm betting JR has determined his trade value already.

One of the very few times I complimented Webster was when decided the trade offers were less than his predetermined trade value of last years #2 pick. He knew we needed a franchise QB, so his value was much higher than this years #1 pick will be for JR. It should make a trade much more likely.

More important position? OT or CB? After watching FA, I'd say neither. Although there are 2 great players there, I really think we want to trade out of the 1st pick and find another Cassey type at DE. I don't know if Bosa fills that in a 3-4 so I am not sure who we'd go with here. Any ideas?

Well said riverman. If we are going by sheer athleticism and versatility, I have to say Ramsey. That is who I want here personally. Hometown boy, baller on the field, good head on his shoulders, and finishes seasons unlike Tunsil. That said, Tunsil is extremely athletic for a big man, and would help drastically with regards to Mariota protection and taking off down field with his quick feet. Tough decision for J rob. Hopefully, Mayock talks up Goff and Wentz enough for us to trade out.

I think it's really close between the two. My method for tie - breaking would be attitude and approach, that's why I'd go Ramsey.

everyone wants the shiny new sparkly toy(Ramsey). He is definitely the Sexy pick.

So JR must ask himself what is the dropoff from Ramsey and the FS we can take at 33. Then what is the dropoff from Tunsil and the RT that can be taken 33rd.

Last year's top Safety went #32, just FYI.

Id rather have Tunsil and S Karl Joseph in the 3rd... than Ramsey and the 6th OT on the board

Can re-open this discussion since @JCBRAVE is always wrong and always lies?

I think tackle is the most important since we've had qb injuries every year. We get a couple years where a qb can last the whole season and we can focus on other positions.
