This leads you to believe.... Tunsil is the pick at one I assume.

How do you know Vasquez isn't the tackle that you're assuming we haven't looked at?

IF we sign Vasquez, I would prefer it be for the position he has been established at, Guard. But putting him out to tackle is a possibility and one that would alleviate our quality OL numbers enough to take the super talented, versatile, hometown DB.

I didn't say every year. I said MOST years. Athletic tackle doesn't mean hall of fame OT nor even a starting OT.

So how do you compare Tunsil to these guys? Both as an overall prospect and his athleticism? I didn't use 2015 as there were no tackles taken in the top 10 (the reason why I used the word most). But rather than go back a lot of years, I put up 6 tackles taken in the top 11 (Lewan) in the last 3 drafts.

    2014 OT's
    Greg Robinson
    Jake Matthews
    Taylor Lewan

    2013 OT's
    Eric Fisher
    Luke Joeckel
    Lane Johnson

Despite the lofty high picks of these players (most are top 5), which of these players has come in and led their team anywhere? Which of these players has been in the Pro Bowl? And for one more example, where have the Browns been with a stellar Joe Thomas at LT? Compare that to the playoff teams that have (or don't have) top 5 OT's.

Do scouts have a lot more video than I do? Yes. Do they still make mistakes? Yes. I pointed out Manziel for this reason. Scouts, like fans, sometimes get caught up in the hype and forget about scouting the tape and the player. Didn't Jerry Jones lament not having drafted Manziel after the draft and that he took Frederick perhaps a round early? Manziel has no team and Frederick is on the best OL in the league.

Please quote anywhere where I have said my opinion is VASTLY SUPERIOR to a scouts'? Since you won't find that, please don't put words in my mouth that I didn't say. Usually I say I think this or I think that and I say WHY I think that...from arguing over whether we should draft Mariota to debating that Bosa is not JJ Watt. And before you imply (because I mention that scouts, coaches, gm's etc make mistakes) that I don't think I make mistakes, I do. Everyone does. But I don't get caught up in the hype of players. I watch the games and evaluate. And leading up to this time period, I watch a lot of film on players. I don't care what PFF or Kiper or any of them say. Watch the film and make your own evaluation. My recommendation any way.

You threw me off with your answer of 30!!! to the question of how many ELITE CB's are there. Since you've narrowed it down to 10, please list the 10 CB's and 10 OT's you think are ELITE so we can discuss further.

Here's my list of ELITE CB's...
    Revis
    Sherman
    Norman
    Peterson

If you're talking about a LT in a zone scheme, I agree. If you're talking about a RT in a power run scheme, I disagree on the 'way better' part. Since we need the later and not the former...

The Titans are still in talks with free agent RG Louis Vasquez.

Vasquez visited Tennessee last week, but left without a deal. The Titans could bring him in as an pass-blocking upgrade over Jeremiah Poutasi and Chance Warmack. Vasquez is coming off a down season in Gary Kubiak's zone scheme, grading as PFF’s No. 50 guard out of 81 qualifiers.

Some of you guys are wayyyyyy lenient with the word ELITE.

Elite means perennial pro-bowler and potential HoFer.
(not a lock, so don't freak out, but could be in talks if keep it up)

Revis (Not elite anymore, down swing, but you get the point)
    Sherman

Thats really it IMO. The you have very very good borderline elite, but not so cut and dry.

    Peterson
    Norman (Need more years too)
    Talib
    Harris Jr.

Then you have young and very good

    Peters
    Butler

    Then you have above average

    Then you have average

And allllll the way down here you have Blidi and Sens

Our best two would fall in the average group. That's no way to win in this league.
