Interesting that the bridge is an interview with Morrison in which he predicts the rise of DJs.

How are The Doors losing to the Eagles? How? Why?

 

When I was younger (stoner phase) I loved the Doors. Never really cared for the Eagles. In recent years though I've come to appreciate the Eagles a lot more. And I find myself never listening to the Doors unless they just randomly come on the radio or something.

And granted I'm no musician aside from a little bedroom guitar playing, but to my ears the Eagles sound like the much more musically talented band. I can't really think of one category I'd give to the Doors over the Eagles. Aside from perhaps "cool factor".
