All it means is flexibility. Doesn't mean Tunsil is the pick or Ramsey is the pick. Opens options. For all any of us know this is all a smoke screen to get a bookend for Casey with Buckner (who would fit the scheme) or Bosa (who I think is undersized to play de in 3-4) ... gonna really make a ton of people upset if we don't take one of the two each thread ends up being about but... stranger things have happened.

A nice leader on D. Still can't tackle, nothing new there, but wont get killed over the top like Griffin.

Reading he was one of the most respected people in the locker room there. So thats awesome.

Not really. I would have preferred we jumped on one of the top guys earlier if we were going to sign a free agent to be a starter. Nelson will be 33 when the season starts. Johnson is one-dimensional, was probably Arizona's fifth-best DB last year, and has only started 16 games once in his career.

There are several incoming rookies I'd rather have than the aging guys that are/were available in free agency.

What in the world did Searcy do last year to give him the underrated tag? He was invisible. He played 15 games and I can honestly say I have no idea what number he wears, and that's not a hyperbolic statement. I have no clue.

“They knew when they brought me in I was an aggressive type safety, and they knew I was smart, and could read formations and different routes. But I had to sacrifice jumping routes to protect guys in the defense,’’ Searcy said. “You could say I sacrificed a lot for the good of the defense, and we (finished) in the top 10 in pass defense (7th). That's all well and good, but can most posters on this board say they were familiar with his play in Buffalo? Probably not, so what did he do as a Titan to garner the underrated tag? The guy has started 36 games in five years and I've seen 13 of them. I'm still in a wait and see mode with Searcy.

I would have liked Iloka so I see what you're saying. Not sure Gipson was even a consideration since I think the Jags had him wrapped up pretty quick. Still I think this signing will end up being a decent pickup and give us much better depth than we've had. Hopefully this year we don't see near as many backups as we have recently.
