I think DGB will be a top WR. If he can handle success? Anybody can handle failure...It's success that's hard!;-))

Right. The thing about DGB is that the plays that he shines on, he looks dominating. The small db's look helpless against him. It looks almost unfair. If this young man gets his stuff together he will be unstoppable. You pair that with Yoda........ My my my.

Damn, I kinda love the off-season more than the regular season lately. We can be so optimistic cuz they haven't F'd it all up yet.

Yeah, during the regular season I am cautiously pessimistic.

Look at it this way. DGB had a 48% reception % of his targets. So as Fry mentioned, some passes weren't drops and weren't Mariota's fault, DGB just didn't see them in time because he was late getting his head turned around. These kinds of mistakes can't happen this season.

He will be in essentially Julio Jones offense playing the part of Julio Jones. So how did Jones do his rookie season? 54 catches on 96 targets (about 56%) for 959yds (17.8yd per catch avg) and 8 TD's!

DGB needs to improve his reception percentage of targets to at LEAST 55 but I'd be hoping for about 60%. I'd also be hoping he gets at least 100 targets. DGB did give a very good 17.2 yd per catch avg last year so with 100-110 targets and hopefully a 60% reception percentage from targets, we could project 60-66 catches, 1030-1135 yds, and 7-10 TD's if he keeps up his 17.2 yds per catch.

Obviously, he'd need to clean up a lot of stuff but he has the ability on the field to do it. But will he is the question...? He needs to make himself the #1 WR and take targets from others (Hunter, Douglas, Walker) to get to 100 or so but he has to EARN that! You earn that by running crisp routes, being on time in your routes and ready to catch the ball in any situation, and getting OPEN and catching the d#mn ball!!!

Some of this will also depend on our running game's effectiveness (to get more playaction and get more one v one's on the outside) as well as our pass blocking!

I just hope we have the teachers that can get him to perfect his route running because thus seemed to be a problem with the entire wr group.

DGB needs to end the 2016 season as the clear cut, no questions asked #1 receiver on the Titans roster. He doesn't need to be the best in the league or on the cover of madden or anything, he just needs to do his job, play hard every play, and be a guy the Titans can depend on moving forward.

Tough task, not impossible, and on a historically WR deficient franchise, he is set up to have a legacy for himself if he can pull it all together. I mean, I don't know numbers or stats, but 3-4 solid seasons and he could be in talks for greatest Titan receiver lol. He has the physical make up and talent, he just needs to put them to good use.

With his size, as soon as he is dependable to run the right routes and be where Marcus expects him to be on every play, he should be a guy that Marcus can throw the ball to pretty much anytime he's single covered. It's just extremely hard to stop him from getting his hands on the ball due to his size. Not to mention how hard he is to tackle compared to the average receiver. All up to DGB. If he becomes a smart player who works hard, he can be dominate.

I really think DGB comes into this season ready to be the #1 guy and he'll perform that way. Last year was tough to evaluate considering his break between college and the NFL. With a full offseason and year of experience under him, he should have all the confidence in the world. Probably the most glaring improvement that needs to happen is route running. Crisp route running turns into more targets and easier catches. Regardless of how much of his potential he reaches, he's going to be at worst a #2 WR for us who will be a red zone nightmare for opponents.

While the Titans right now don't have a true #1 WR, I really like our new trio and will give Mariota plenty of help.
