More praise for Mariota from around the league

First off. Your whole post and accusations of me are unfounded. I never said mett would put up top 10 numbers this year, I said he has that potential. I've said hundreds of times mett had a disastrous year.

LOL drafting wentz comment was a throwaway post just to ruffle these Hawaiin losers feathers. Obviously Noone would draft two top 2 qbs in a row ever. Duh.

Unfounded? You said Mett could easily put up x stats and I responded by pointing out that those stats would make him a top 10 QB in 2015. So yes, you said you thought he could post top 10 numbers (obviously if given the opportunity). Since he did terrible in his given opportunities this year (niot even backup caliber numbers), the point is not about him but about your analysis or lack thereof on these QB's.

You support a guy who had a QB rating in the mid 60's and think he could put up stats equivalent to a top 10 QB.

Meanwhile you bash a rookie who's QB rating was 25 points higher, finished the season with a very high 91.5, a completion percentage of 62.2 (better than Mett for either year), a respectable 7.6 yds per attempt, 19-10 TD - INT's, and about 3300yds in total offense in 3/4 of a season. Since you like to project numbers...like Mett's, what should Mariota have finished with if he could have played all 16 games? Maybe 24 TD's vs 13 INT's, well over 4000yds offense?

And that's behind the worst performing OL in the NFL, no run game, in 3rd and long all day and with no dominant wr. Yeah, I can see why you'd want to bash him!!! NOT!!!

But the reality is you've been bashing him well before he was drafted and you and I debated quite a bit. you even went so far as to make stuff up about him.

Bash away...but it begs the question, why? Are you that upset about Mett not starting (or being terrible last year) that you bash our franchise QB who played very well? Why don't you go watch another team you can actually root FOR???

 

When did I bash mariota tho. Just Cuz I am not sold.on him as our franchise qb after a rookie year that saw 2 injuries and 25% of games played no passing tds and most of his great stats in 2 games with less than normal circumstances. If that's bashing him call me a bash brother. The dark haired one.

What do you mean less than normal circumstances? Considering he had QB ratings of over 96-158 in 4 games (3 of those at 118 or more), what are you talking about?

Mariota had 4 exceptional games last year and several solid ones. He had some that weren't so great but at least 50% of that wasn't his fault. When you have no offense other than your QB throwing the ball and you can't pass protect very well, and force him to throw most of the time in 3rd and long, it's about as rough a position as you can put a rookie QB. And the guy came out with a 90+ qb rating? Why AREN'T you on board?!?!?

Did Mariota get injured falling off his bicycle? He was quite durable in college despite all the running and throwing he did! Like Locker he is NOT!!! Wait, he didn't throw a TD in 25% of his games...? Could it be we had one of the worst rushing attacks in the NFL and one of the worst pass blocking OL in the NFL, and our HC decided we should send 5 guys out in the pattern so our vaunted OL could handle ppl 1v1? Oh wait, they couldn't. But sure, let's blame the QB for that!!! LOL!!!

It's funny you want to look at broad stats to paint a negative picture and IGNORE all the great things HE was able to do with ZERO help!!!

 

Can we get mariota some stick em? Maybe then he won't fumble everytime some breaths on him LOL
