Keep Pick #1 or Trade It?

  1. Keep it. Ramsey or Tunsil are elite enough prospects that it would be foolish to pass them up

  2. Trade it. To any team, anywhere in the first round as long as adequate compensation is given

The 49ers aren't going to get rid of Staley. He fits the system that Kelly wants to run. The guy who is more likely to get traded is Anthony Davis. Davis actually fits our system better because he is a mauling type of RT. He is at odds with Baalke...he called out the OL for being soft this past yr without him thus not endearing him to players on the team...and he has not un-retired yet and is missing the start of OTAs which obviously won't sit well with Kelly....and he doesn't fit Kelly's system.

I just don't see how Davis is back as a 49er.

I would trade back to #7 without even getting a 1st in next yrs draft...I'd be very happy with Davis, #7, #37, their 4th this yr and 2nd next yr.

Trade talks dead as of right now:

Bleacher Report's Jason Cole reports Colin Kaepernick will not be traded to the Broncos.

Per Cole, Kaepernick will not take a pay cut, and the 49ers refuse to "pay off part of deal to make trade happen." You should never say never in the high-stakes game of NFL negotiations, but it appears the 49ers and Kap are now working toward a reconciliation. Kap reported for the start of the team's offseason program on Monday. By staying in San Francisco, Kap would be locking himself into $14.3 million between salary and bonuses. He's probably decided it's worth gambling on himself for 2016.

It's hard to vote on this, because i know any trad involving high picks is good for our team. I also know getting ramsey will have a huge impact on our team. What's better 1 elite cb or 2-3 pretty good players?

I think a decent trade with the browns is more likely than most think. They are in need of a qb and Jackson has a guy in mind (especially because they know we wont go qb). If even one othe team gets involved the browns are in a must trade scenario. We have the benefit of being able to talk with these teams for weeks before the draft. I could see us moving one spot back and receiving 2 or 3 picks in rounds 3-7.

9 News Denver's Mike Klis insists the Broncos' trade talks with the 49ers regarding Colin Kaepernick are "still on."

An afternoon report from Bleacher Report indicated otherwise. Klis confirms the sides are "stalemated" over Kaepernick's refusal to accept a pay cut, but the Broncos haven't given up on acquiring him. It's possible the "stalemate" will remain until the draft, at which point teams feel more urgency to make moves. Kaepernick still seems 50:50 to stay in San Francisco.

You'd take a 5 mill/yr less money to go to the Broncos? Somehow I doubt that.
