Keep Pick #1 or Trade It?

  1. Keep it. Ramsey or Tunsil are elite enough prospects that it would be foolish to pass them up

  2. Trade it. To any team, anywhere in the first round as long as adequate compensation is given

If Kaep takes them to the playoffs and just has more TDs than INTs he would make more in the long run with a new contract after 2016. The QB market is ridiculously inflated right now.

I don't blame him for taking the extra $5 million up front though.

I would love for San Fran to become our trade partner in this draft. Get a first in next years draft and a second this year. Snag Hargreaves up at 7 and then get Karl Joseph at 33. With our extra second rounder we can grab our RT and then our biggest needs are all taken care of. This has become my dream scenario after watching more tape on Hargreaves. Both secondary positions are upgraded definitively instead of a tweener like Ramsey where we aren't sure where he will end up.

Yep. Would be awesome if Tennessee could snag La'El Collins. I imagine San Diego would be pretty quick to take Tunsil.

The Titans would come away with a superstar defensive back and their RT of the future. Whatever else Dallas is willing to give up in the deal would be gravy.

This would be how you absolutely KILL in this draft. I'd even settle for a modest trade with Cleveland because you can get more from DAL (who ARE in the QB market) or SF. And the Rams might even come into play but I don't think there is going to be a true "playmaker" that far back. We'd have 4 picks in the top 34 and still most likely get Ramsey or Tunsil (if Dallas.) We could package picks 33 and 34 to move up into the late first, getting us 3 picks in the top 33 with 2 before 26. What a move!

Do you really think Cleveland wants to trade a piece to move up 1 spot? I find it hard to believe that they will offer anything, because sitting at 2 with a team who has no QB need at 1 is a great place to be. Also, both Wentz and Goff are great, has anyone heard anything about which one Cleveland or scouts prefer? From what I've heard mixed results, some like Wentz, some like Goff.

I definitely think they have a preference and definitely think they are smoke screening they'd be satisfied with either. Best case scenario is to imitate an under valued trade with Dallas to get the bidding open then let CLE, SF outbid for #1, then let others Bid for #2 if CLE comes through. If DAL wins #2 then we still get Tunsil or Ramsey plus picks. If SF wins we get decent player plus more compensation. The only skill involved is ability to convincingly communicate.

there is absolutely ZERO chance the Titans get a trade for #1.

I wish there was, but no HYPED up QB and the Kaepernick saga is what's dominating the top 7.

I saw a report where eagles coach Doug Peterson has said that they will do what it takes to get wentz

Absolutely disagree. Too many teams need a QB this year and there are only 2 in the "top bracket". There will be a play if JR makes it happen. And I've outlined above how it could/should be done.
