First, I didn't say he was anyone. Just disproving your point about him not being worthy because of INT's or some other such nonsense.

More importantly, I noticed you didn't answer the question. If INT's are so important, how come the players with the most are not projected top 5 picks...nor even first rounders...and some of them will go in the last few rounds and some won't be drafted at all. Explain why...

    Care to try...?

    Pro: he will be good.
    Con: he will suck.

This goes for the players mentioned and every other player available.

**** I'm ready for the draft! Maybe...just MAYBE there will be a different topic to discuss.

As another poster wisely pointed out, there is a reason those positions are high picks...because teams are usually difficient at 1 of three positions...QB, LT, or pass rusher. We have the first 2 and there is no dominant edge rusher in this draft the likes of a Von Miller. MAYBE if Jaylon Smith hadn't injured himself, he might have been the pick.

But the point about Roos and Stewart is that our 2nd pick is before either of them were taken so it is a fair point that Pro Bowl caliber OT's...especially at RT can be found past round 1.

I totally agree you CAN find a #1 CB in round 2 (Rolle). Never said you can't. But people act like if we don't take Tunsil at #1, it's a death sentence for Mariota!!! That's simply not the case. Roos and Stewart PROVE it.

If you wanna argue Rolle is WHY we should wait til round 2 for a CB, that's fine. But no one addresses the fact that (unless the FO knows differently) we need a RT, not a LT. Having 2 zone blocking OT's in the run game will hurt our run game quite a bit. Hurting 1 of the 2 major things we're trying to accomplish (give Mariota a strong run game to keep us out of 3rd and longs) doesn't make sense.

I'd also argue that CB is overtaking LT as a value or perhaps need position. The top 6 CB's make more than the top 6 LT's in the league. In fact, the highest paid LT only beats the #6 paid CB in avg per year. So the top 5 CB's ALL make more than the #1 LT (who was a free agent this year). What does that tell you about how valued these positions are in the current NFL?

Gut, it's because draft experts say so. We have to take the player that the most experts would have us take. We can't sway from the norm, because teams picking at the bottom consistently know what's best to do. Cbs (that successful nfl teams agree are worth more than lts) are only worth big money on contracts, but not high draft picks.

I completely understand why some people want us to take tunsil. But, i cannot understand the knocks on ramsey, especially when they point out history or his "undefined" position. Those should be more reason to take him. He's versatile as hell and bottom feeder teams wouldn't do it??

    Tunsil

    Pro
Just about perfect size for an athletic franchise LT. Excellent length! Very athletic 'dancing bear' type pass blocker. Almost never beaten on a straight speed rush. Usually good hands and knows how to anchor vs the bull rush. Excellent at getting to LB's or DB's in the second level on pull plays, sweeps, or screens.

    Cons
Not quite as good a pass blocker as his stats (no sacks) suggest. Can be beaten with speed to power with a hand chop (JJ Watt's favorite move), occasionally misses switch offs, sometimes driven back into the QB's lap, and on rare occasions - inside. Needs more playing strength as he'll see this all day in the NFL. Doesn't fit a power run scheme and rarely gets movement going 1v1 with a DL (unless its a DT and he's creashing down) Even with double team support he struggles to move DL. On 3rd or 4th and short, they don't run behind him...which is telling! Everyone points to perhaps his cleanest pass pro game vs Ogbah. However, Ogbah didn't face him all game and tunsil did nothing with him in the run game. Tape vs A+M and Auburn in 2015 and 2014 vs LSU does not look like a #1 LT. Red flags with medical and off the field (decision making, partying with Nkemdiche and let Nkemdiche take the rap, took improper blah blah blah).

He's a top 10 athletic pass pro LT who's perfect for a zone blocking run game. Helps pass pro, but hurts our run game. Unless Lewan's injuries or talent are a question, we need a RT who's as good in pass pro as well as good in a power run game. Think Anthony Davis.

    Jalen Ramsey

    Pro
Rare combo of speed, athleticism, size, and length. 6'1 and ran low 4.4's with OT length arms and top #'s in vert and broad jump. More than that, was a playmaker all over the secondary. Was a dominant S and nickel CB where he was a Polamalu type disruptor in a Patrick peterson type body. Was more of a Patrick Peterson type shutdown CB this past season but has shown the ability, skills, attitude and determination to be a top level CB in the NFL. Has excellent ball skills and body control! plays with an attitude and with great determination. Also a great tackler and blitzer. Can lock up WR's, slot WR's and TE's. Can take away another team's best weapon. Would be an ideal fit in a Dick LeBeau defense!

    Con
Could be drafted as a CB but be better suited to S (less value according to some teams). Didn't have many flash stats as a CB. While he shows great hands in practice, few INT's were caught on game day. Needs to keep improving at CB if he wants to reach the top of the NFL. Not a finished product.

Ramsey is a top 5 pick all day long. What's unique about him his rare combo of size, length, speed, athleticism, playmaking ability, versatility to play every position in the secondary and do them at a very high level, and would be going to the perfect DC (LeBeau) to get the MOST out of his vast array of skills and abilities! High character guy with no red flags, on or off the field and no medical issues! Helps entire defense tactically and strategically!!!

Care to share where you got this 30% stat? Because it shows up nowhere on his stat sheet(s) that I can find.

We can't lose either way, but I just think Ramsey is going to be a star in this league for a long time and we can get a serviceable RT in round 2 or 3.
