Hiring Robinson is one of only three things AAS has done right since taking over, IMO, the others being firing Whis and not renewing Webster's contract.

    Among her well-documented failures are:
    • keeping Underwood
    • conducting a diligent and thorough coaching search
    • hiring Mularkey
    • establishing a good relationship with the fan base (what's left of it)
Underwood is getting old and will hopefully retire (again) soon. After this season, perhaps even AAS will see what a terrible coach Mularkey is and will fire him. I'm just looking for some possible rays of sunshine that we can hope for. Robinson's moves today are the best news I've had in a while.

I disagree with that assessment. Rishad Matthews was a really good pick. The kid was Kaepernick's main target when Kap was in college (Nevada). They had an unbelievable season that year, beating Boise St. when Boise was the hot team outside the Power 5 conference. In fact they were undefeated at that point and ranked No.10 in the nation.

Matthews was really peaking as a WR last year, and was a legit starter. I would not be surprised if he ends up being our leading WR this year. Much better acquisition than Harry Douglas last year. I think Spence will be a good LB for LeBeau and Johnson at Safety was a really good temporary fix at Safety.

I'm hoping we use our 5th Rd pick to take S Brian Randolph. For anyone who is not a UT Vol fan, Randolph has been the best, most dependable Safety UT has had, except for Eric Berry, since we won the NC in 98. He's been a baller and a hard hitter. 8 career INT's compared to Ramsey's 3. Had more than double Ramsey's number of tackles. He's bigger, faster and harder hitting than Ramsey. Would be a steal in this draft.

With the 6th pick (we had 2 before the trade, so we should have one left), I'd definitely take Curt Maggitt, if his medicals look legit. Another steal. Guy was set to have another monster season, in 2015, as one of the SEC's best DE/OLB's. Had 11 sacks in 2014, which was among the top tier in the NCAA.

I have high hopes for Rishard Matthews as well. He was really solid last year.

Well I am sure the draft fans here will be thrilled. With so many picks there will be more prospects to get out hopes up over.

I will save my excitement though to see if the players we take with all these picks amount to anything.

It did seem a little too poetic to be true, considering they were the ones on the other side of the fence with the RGIII trade. Then again, all those picks put them in a position where they felt they COULD move up. Their roster is set for a SB run if they would only get themselves a franchise QB.

The 3rd Rd pick for next year is a bonus one since they were getting a compensatory 3rd. The way I look at it is this...most draft value charts were probably requiring at least their 2 second Rd picks plus a 1st next year. But since interest from Philly and SF was heating up, they had to come up with some more pudding.

They effectively swapped their 3rd this yr for our 4th, and their 3rd next yr for our 6th this yr. Just a little extra cherry on top.

Yeah man it's early, but just the way we have been going about our busines we've been in the power position all offseason. From the Rams trade, to Murray, it feels like we are winners. At least we are going about our business like winning teams do. Feels good.

We still have to do it in the field.

He just got off Mike and Mike. Nothing earth shattering revealed but painted some behind the scenes scenarios for us. Was really cool!
