With Mularkey as HC this team is going to be very predictable. We will run the football until we HAVE to pass. This will be much the same offense we saw from Munchak.

Don't look for big numbers from MM8 or any WR. Mularkey is gonna run the football and ride the clock. He will play not to lose instead of playing to win. He showed that for every game he coached last year. That's one of the big reasons I hated the idea of keeping him. The league has become a passing league. Only dinosaurs like Mularkey think they can ride the clock and squeak out wins. You are going to have to put points on the board to win in today's NFL. I just do not see us having the offense to do that with Mularkey in charge.

I want to be wrong; and hope I am. However, old guys like Mularkey rarely change. Much like Whiz; Mularkey believes his old school system that has failed everywhere he has been HC, will work now...... Maybe it will. We can hope.

Oh gawd, you're making it sound so horrible LOL. I hope you're wrong about just run all day football but I get what you're saying. Let's just hope Mularkey learned new tricks and coaches the team to bring excitement to the fans.

I think your idea of his offense is blatantly incorrect and smells of what you have heard over facts. Look up what Mularkey has done when he has had a QB and healthy players on offense. He was pretty damned good in Pittsburgh. I don't know whether he will be a success or not. But to say he is just going to run run and run some more and be predictable is not his history.

I think plenty of RBs will be available on the waiver wire and I doubt/hope Sankey/Cobb/Andrews are not on the w1 roster

the second he took over, he encouraged Mariota to run more. Run, Run Run when you ahve too. That alone shows he isn't a "dinosaur" the way Whiz was.

The desperation of a guy who wanted a job.

If Mariota is running more than four times a game, especially if they're all designed runs, he will get killed and Mularkey will get fired.

MM8 should only have designed runs of the QB sneak for the FD variety

all others should be of the when all else has failed type. Like the 87TD

It's hard to blame Mularkey for it last year. Mariota was without a doubt the best thing we had going on offense. Why take the ball out of his hands and give it to Sankey or McCluster?

This year needs to be different though.

    That may not be true.

RG3 mastered the read option, as soon as they asked him to stay in the pocket more thats when he got creamed. And Mularkey believes a mobile QB is safer when running because he can always slide or get out. So Im gonna go ahead and say youll be seeing a lot more of him running than you might want.

RG3 hurt his knee and dislocated his ankle running.

    No designed runs for Mariota.
