"He's going to end up being big time in our league. He's got elite foot quickness, he's long and he's smart. He'll keep getting better once he gets to a pro offense and away from that stuff Texas Tech does and he'll become one of the top five tackles in our league." -- NFC personnel director

Plenty of other draft profiles on him. I haven't gotten around to looking at his games yet but he is a guy whose name I keep seeing near the top of OT rankings. Not sure how he would translate coming from that spread offense, and we have seen how those short quick throws can mask real problems that those OT's have.

See Jake Matthews, Greg Robinson, etc.

I don't think it matters though because we are taking an OT in the first round, so I won't waste my time looking at these other OT's.

Btw the reason I said take a CB is because that and OT are two of the thinnest positions this year. After the top 5-6 guys you get into "who dat?!" territory. There will plenty of solid WR and and DT available in the 2nd round however. Have to go OT or CB at 15.

Kendall Fuller with one of our 2nds if we're worried about CB going early. Fuller is a nice player. Plus a very solid chance 1 of Eli Apple, Will Jack III or Mackensie Alexander makes it to 33. I'm very confident 1 of those will be at 33 if we want. PS: I don't even like Will Jack III.

The problem with taking someone from that Tech offense is that theyre so ill prepared for a pro style offense. I mean yes, wideouts have faired well, Crabtree and Amendola especially, but look at someome like Graham Harrell. Dude set like every NCAA passing record while in the Air Raid, was a Heisman finalist, and then couldnt even stay on an NFL practice squade more than a year or two. The learning curve is already huge in the NFL, it would be tough to take a developmental player at this stage with the Titans.

Thanks man...Yeah, I can't see is staying put at 15 and not taking an OT. Especially with Amy Adams pressuring that and Mularkey wanting to protect his guy in Mariota.

    Don't forget Wes Welker.

Just for arguments sake, Jared Goff is now in that same Air Raid offense you speak ill of. His HC was my WR coach. Harrell was undersized and lacked elite arm strength.

What type of offense was Mariota in at Oregon? There's a lot more that goes into it than just calling these offenses scrubs.

The new CBA really helped these young QBs out by lowering the rookie pay scale and allowing them to sit and learn instead of being thrown into the fire immediately.
