With the 8th Pick of the 2016 Draft: Michigan State OT Jack Conklin

Could have been worse. We could have stayed at #1 and picked Conklin.

 

Babying him? What!?!? Our OL last year wasn't fit to line up in peewee ball. Yoda was lucky to leave the season walking without crutches. And he barely did that

 

Exactly what I was getting ready to post. Picking Conklin not only helps the tackle spot, it helps mariota stay upright, and helps demarcco run which ALSO helps Mariota even more. Whether it was a reach or not, we stay made out great trading down and back up, not mad at all about the way this went.

 

I have no problems with the pick. We got our guy, and he is a wrecking ball, something we need for the run game. Relax guys, tomorrow is the day we shore up our D.

 

We gave up the most sacks last year, and people are complaining about us trying to fix it.

Well then I guess we better get that line cuz Yoda is here to stay! Get over it already.

 

Cleveland mad out like a bandit over their two trades…I would of rather had Cleveland's trade with Philly than what we did then traded back to 8 where Cleveland traded back to. Seriously guys like said above…we took a friggin RT with the #8 overall pick!!! You are supposed to take game changers with the #8 overall and we took a RT who many considered to be a RG. Just stay at 15 and take the best on the board. I feel that Mularkey had way too much influence on this pick which worries me the most!

 

If im not mistaken, Decker was one of the lowest rated pass blockers in the NCAAS last year.

 

I think JR did a solid job so far this draft. We grabbed a plug-in play RT that has a mean streak with no red flags. We gained two extra 2nd round picks plus the Rams 1st next year which is likely a top 10 selection. Not to mention the Rams 2017 3rd round pick.
